Ok, so, this isn't really CoX-related, or game-related at all really, but it's of great import anyway.
Namely, the release of the last Harry Potter this summer. Anyone else as crazily excited about it as my family and I are?

Oh yeah! I've loved the movie series so far and my GF gives me the clif notes on all the stuff they have to leave out.
If it's a movie release WOO HOO for me, if it's the next book, the GF will be very pleased.

I've enjoyed the movies and never read thge books. But the next movie is coming out in June, and the final novel in July

No it's definitely not. There are two more to follow, and all the principles have signed contracts for the last two. The movies have made massive amounts of money, and they are going to produce the entire book series as movies, of which there will be two left including the final novel which comes out this summer.

Ok? lol I love them,I really do enjoy watching the movies as much as reading the books.Sure the Books are long,but reading the first Chapter gets you attached,Well for me,I'm obsessed with the book. ;)

I like both the books and the movies. They are very well written books and wonderful to read. And the movies are so close to the books that it makes them so fun to watch. There was no way they would not make the last two movies. You would have to be nuts to walk away from all that money.

well i have loved the books for a long time, and i am definitely looking forward to the books more than the movie. my favorite book, the prisoner of azkaban, was the worst movie they made. it was very disappointing. yeah, and the fact that whatshisname radcliff is like 25 by now.....

1. Agreed, Hermione's gonna be a knockout. Heck, she is now for her age, and I'm almost allowed to say that since I'm not 20 until the 14th.
2. Love the books immensely, and while the movies aren't among my favorites I still like 'em. 4th one not so much as the others because it felt really rushed to me, though. Hopefully the 5th won't feel the same way, since that might just be my favorite so far.
3. The books are far better then the movies, imo. I suggest that even if you normally don't like reading but you really like the movies, that you give the books a chance. Mind you, if you can't get into by the first book they probably won't get better for you as you go.

if at some point during this discussion someone includes a spoiler, you should probably stick a warning at the beginning of the post.
Idea just popped into my head. Just in case, personally I *hate* having things spoiled, and I had the two major deaths of Harry Potter accidentally spoiled for me unfortunately. Don't want the same to happen to possible future readers.

I absolutely love the harry potter books, i have read them all (except 5, which was hugely disappointing IMO*) at least 5 times. The movies have been pretty disappointing to me, but the books set such a high standard anything short of what Peter Jackson did for LOTR would be.
* I hated 5 because there was such a long wait after the huge cliffhanger in book 4. After reading book 5 we knew barely any more than we do now. Also, Harry had a very different personality that was kind of annoying to follow through all 900 or whatever it was pages.

JK Rowling has Stated all along that Harry will not die. Now everyone else she has not stated anything about whether they might die. For some reason I just dont feel that Dumbledore is dead. And I am still not sure that snape turned on him as opposed to them acting out to fool Valdi...

I too have had many theories about why dumbledore isnt dead. One of them being the way his body reacted to snape's avada kedavera, the second being how she happened to introduce the idea that you could do a spell without shouting its name, and how snape was particularly good at it. he may have in fact been placing a different spell on dumbledore and shouting avada kedavera...

That is a very good point Sport. Also with the fact that Dumbledore trusted snape so implicitly. I just thought it was fishy. And I was not in a seafood resturant.
