I like any armor that gives added energy. If you play Nightfall, then stick Radiant Insignias on the armor. If you are playing Prophecies or Factions, then Scar Pattern for extra energy. Also in Factions, the Minion Master armor can be good for extra armor. :)

An mm shouldn't be getting hit to much in pve so I would just get high energy and bloodstained insignias. For pvp(aka ab) hook it up with high armor beacuse you will definitely get spiked.

For normal PvE
Definetly +energy
But for PvP +armour vs piercing has always worked well for me

what they said ^^ and it depends on location if your in an area with lots of monsters that use ranged weapons like arrows or spears then bonelace and if it's somewhere with lots of corridors or stuff where your minions can block then +energy the +energy is more useful after the Soul Reaping nerf but it's more important to stay alive because if you die your minions become evil =P
