And this is the sort of thing I live in Canada for, 200+/- deaths a year by guns in the whole country, and that really only goes much higher if the Hells Angles are active... /sigh

And yes, very insane, disgusting person...

RE: Tragic events at virginia tech

this is awful especially because i know several people who go to VA tech, i wish this were a lesson, but places like Columnbine and others, they were supposed to be a lesson for future generations to come, apprently not

please people if you have a problem, don't shoot people to let your anger out, i use a punching bag :D, but seriously you people with the sick minds of wanting to kill, think of others who arn;t involved of what ever you problem you are trying to solve, innocent, and the people who arn;t shouldn;t have to go through something like this.

RE: Tragic events at virginia tech

Most of the people who start school killings have rage that they dont take out, and claim they'll take it out on a gunpoint. After they say that people laugh it off, and the gunman gets even more angry to the point of insanity. Although it may sound odd, I cant blame the gunman, after all he's just someone who was mislead and brought up through anger. In fact half of the school killings were just like this one, but on a much smaller scale.

'Sort of' is such a harmless thing to say. Sort of. It's just a filler. Sort of - it doesn't really mean anything. But after certain things, sort of means everything. Like after 'I love you' or 'You're going to live' or 'It's a boy.'

RE: Tragic events at virginia tech

It is troublesome that things like this happens in the world we live in. Though we will never know what caused it nor know what will solve things like this.

We can start a discussion about things like this; but we will never find a solution. Nor will we find a reason.

My respect goes to the families that have to deal with this tragedy.

Album Of The Year IMO
Studies show that 92% of teens listen to rap. If you are part of the 8% that listens to real music then add this to your signature.
Nile is probably one of the best bands ever.

I'm a little lost for words over this one... why is all I can think.

The BBC has a good write up HERE for anyone who doesn't yet know the facts.

It doesn't say how the gunman died but either way we'll never know why.

My condolences are with the families of the deceased. The dead students apparently had no connection to the shooter, and were just minding their own business. No one deserves for their family members to be taken out of their lives this way.

RE: Tragic events at virginia tech

I was so shocked when I heard about this. I have a cousin who studies there and his dorm was next to the one where the first two shootings occurred. I called him to see if he was okay. What disgusts me though is the fact that after that happened, in my opinion, not much was done to prevent the other shootings. I just pray for all the souls lost today.

But you have to understand, some of the students that had "no connection to the shooter" accually did have connections, such as they we're bullying the shooters. Now, I'm not agreeing with what they did, situation or not, but I'm saying that now they're dead we shouldnt cuss at them, because no matter how many wrongs someone did in their life, its still disrespectful to insult a dead man.

Its sad and you wish things like this never happen, but what the hell makes someone snap like that? Thats an extreme measure, this guy was ether abused in family or bullied (although id hope theres no childish bulling at a college enough to make someone snap) anyways, it was pretty bad sounding, ive only heard of this within the hour.

Whats scary is, this doesn't have to happen at a college or a school, it can happen anywhere any time, you just have to watch out, there was a bomb threat at my school district not that long ago, i then realized that it can happen anywhere.

Nothing more im gonna do, i don't need to get involved with that stuff.

It makes me sad to see what America and the world has turned into these days and things like this, Columbine and that school battle in Russia several years ago =_= but many times like Hydra said the killers often had low self-esteem because they were bullied or made fun of and they often begin to hate everything and everyone around them and I feel for the families of the wounded and dead

RE: Tragic events at virginia tech

Too many in this country says "Its not my problem" or "I don't want to get involved." When you try to tell people something is wrong with someone else, they say "Its their life, let them screw it up." Even once in High School, I was talking to a girl and she talked about how she would like to come to school one day with a gun and kill a few dozen people... she was the kinda person you had to take seriously, but when I told the school police offiver, he just brushed it off and said, "Its just talk." Yet three weeks later when she got arrested on the way to school, you could tell he had regret for not listening.

The problem is that people are in a constant stay of "get out of my way," "leave me alone," "I don't care," and "screw everyone else, my stuff is more important," that the real important things get overlooked. And it doesn't help that people who do try to make a difference, so often get targeted. What we have to do as a good person, as a good society is help each other before the problem grows to these levels.

If people in general could learn to be nicer to others, then these things could be avoided without the knowledge of them ever occuring. Basicaly, if you stop something before it becomes something, you'll never know about, and thats the key.

I may sound like a rambling, pointless person, but thats just because I have too many points to make to coherently make them quicky... its just that people need to learn to see and feel others, its really the only way to make any real kind of peace.

Blah... I guess its just my iNFp personality. I'll shut up now.

Thomas JP - Your sig is too large, it can be a maximum of 250px tall, each of the images in your signature are 240, making the total size 480px. Please remove one of them.

As for this topic, things like this should not happen, my mom followed this all day.

My best guess as to why this person killed so many, is he was possibly trying to make history, being the largest school shooting in US History.

Thats because you run a higher resolution then I do. Max width of signatures is 600px though, both of your images together is 400px + 352. So its a total width of 752px, which is too wide.

EDIT: Here's the Sig Size, posted by Evil Geek himself.

RE: Tragic events at virginia tech

in regards to the quebec event, the gunman used a mini-14 semi auto rifle, since that incident canada has put a limit on the capacity a centerfire rifle can hold to 5, legally speaking of course.

i do believe in the west virgina state incident, the gunman just used handguns, a 9mm and a .22 cal semi auto pistols.

in taber alberta, a student was shot dead with a .22 rifle.

I do feel terribly sory for the family and friends of the people who lost loved ones in this shooting. I gotta tho, at the same time more individual deaths across the country occured but becasue they were individual and unlinked to any other murders they are ignored. Why pay more attension to just these 1's?

Like i said b4, my heart goes out to the ppl that lost loved ones today in the V tech incident, but it also goes out to all those ppl that have also lost thier loved ones in murders today, and those thtat will loose loved ones in murders tonight, murders that on the whole will go unnoticed.

You need to do all you can to prevent this "kid" from doing this. Tell the police or something. Just dont say "I dont need to get involved" This is one reason this crap goes on in the world because people think that its ok and someone else will do it

this is so sad ... i wish i never even knew about this stuff, the thing is it could happen anywhere, in any school/colledge/university...any time and by who ever, as the people cannot get stopped from smuggling a weapon inside school and then just suddenly shooting people down... i feel so sorry for the familiy of the people killed...i hope one day people will learn that they should also think about other people aswell, being more nice to each other so that these people do not even start to think aobut killing themselves in first place, but it will never happen, so sad...

I'm sorry to say, but this is partially the fault of the weapon law in America, I mean, almost everyone can get a gun there so.
I heard mr Bush wants to authorize schools to have weapons now, to protect them from this kind of things oO
