I expect quite a few of you are good analytical and philosophical thinkers.
A few monthes ago I decided to look at the evidence and decide for myself if UFOs were real.
This was a thing that I kind of thought its all stories and no evidence, so they could have been made up by mad people and evidence photo-shopped etc.
After some consideration I personally think that there is too much evidence to deny the existence of these craft
(whatever they may be).
Now another similar thing is Ghosts, now ive always thought ghost stories were to scare little children, like witchcraft and magic, ancient superstition with little roots in fact,
im sure you all seen the programs where they "detect magnetic hotspots"
and watch for hours and see nothing, but according to the people who've seen and heard things the are there.
My nan has seen a ghost of an old lady under a plum tree when she returned from a farm, a long time ago, in a remote part of the essex (england) countryside.
My nan likes to tell stories in a lot of detail like when she goes on holdiay and stuff.
So I assumed maybe she made this up just for another story,
but I talked to my dad an he says hes never known her to lie.
Im a "ill believe it when i see it, or solid evidence of it"
kind of person, so i had a look through a few sites last night and found some interesting photos.
1)

I now believe most of these to be forged intentionally , or
cause by photographical errors.
2)

This site is good because it shows you possible ways that the pictures can be forged, then shows you pictures that they believe may be real/ are very difficult to explain/ very hard to forge.
3)
number 3
There are 4 pictures here that are extremely good ( and frankly scary ) , they all pre-date computing or colour photography.
Ive tried Wiki and there isn't much information, It seems unbiased but swaying towards skeptical.
What id really like is to hear your views and personal experiences if you have them.
One thing that does confuse me is:
If the camera detects wavelengths of light roughly the same as our eyes, why didn't people see the "ghosts" when they took the picture.

Personally I think ghosts are just remnants of old(and current to a lesser extent) religion or possibly demons in some cases(I am of the christian faith so yes I believe in demons). But the sightings are usually false. Demons do not appear to people in their spiritual form and if they did you would never see them...because they are spirits. That's just me though.

If you see it in the sky and don't know what it is then by definition it's a UFO. As for aliens...sure, there must be something out there. We can't be so pretentious as to think we're alone in the universe.
And ghosts...I'm afraid it'll take more than some crappy show filmed in infra-red, on a handy cam, by paid actors (who if we're being honest aren't quite right in the head anyway), using old mystic women to prove their findings to make me believe.
I like proof and replicatable results. That goes for anything and everything for me.

Have any of you read the book "for one more day" by Mitch Albom? It says in there every family story is a ghost story...and in my opinoin he's correct.
We wonder, "Why?" when we lose friends, and there are never any good answers.

I completely agree with you.
Aliens, I would say, are highly likely.....as vast as they claim the universe is, there has to be at least some other life form out there.
As for ghosts....its one of those things I would have to see for myself....ANY photo found on the internet can be modified in photoshop(or other similar software), no matter how much it claims to be real. That also goes for photo's themselves these days. You can take a picture with a digital camera, put it on your computer, modify it, put it back on your camera, then have it printed with one of those expensive photograph printers. There, a "real" photo that has still be photoshopped :P Same goes for older photo's, you can scan them in at quite a high amount of detail, allowing you to print them later at the same quality as the original.

I try to not be skeptical and as optimistic as possible. But ghosts are one area that really tests by open-mindedness. I do believe that demons are real. I believe there's more than just an outside chance that there's more "humanoid" type beings somewhere in the infinity and vastness of the universe.
I have an ex-gf who swears the house she grew up in was haunted; you could really see the fright in her eyes when she spoke about it. My wife swears of a similar experience and I know she can't be lying 'cause there's more interesting stories than that one could come up with. :)
To me, there's very few things that are absolutely, without a shadow of a doubt, impossible. Ghosts, to me are not impossible. There's lots of things that we as humans may never, and maybe should never, understand.
But, one thing I have personally always wondered: why is it that Catholicism is the only Christian-based faith that performs exorcisms of humans and houses. I am in NO WAY trying to knock the Catholic faith; it just seems, idk, strange that it's the only Christian-based faith that performs such an act. *shrugs*

This is said to occur because i camera takes a single shot or frame. A "ghost" (which i THINK are fake but are also really cool...include in sheet over rogue ghost.) either moves too fast for the naked eye only has enough "solidness" to be caught by a camera.

On the topic, no ghosts IMO.
Aliens are likely yes, but they wouldn't bother with us like they always seem to do in movies, they'd just probably stick to their own system.

if you wana c something truely creapy take an old camera and aim it at the TV, one of those ones that shows what ur filming on the tv, my friend peeed himself when we did this
also there has to be alians i mean look at the universe

i believe in both. my best friends old house had 6 people that died in it (pre civil war). i saw someone walk by the doorway into his kitchen, and it moved the cooking apron hanging on the door, only him and his mom lived there.
at my grandmothers house(again pre civil war) i walked into a room and the instant i walked it it felt as though someone had walked through me, like.... i seriously cant explain it. just imagion someone walking through you.... i was scared shitless after that

I completely believe in Aliens. With the universe as big as it is, why not?
As for Ghosts, I think they do exist. It's difficult to prove them, but I believe in ghosts just from my own experiences. Ever walk down a warm hallway and feel a chill go up your spine for almost no reason? Ever get frightened for no good reason?
One experience I had was a few years ago. It was at night, while I was in bed, and I felt a chill enter the room. I tried to get up to see what it was, and I couldn't move at all. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't move.
I then felt a presence enter and walk to the foot of my bed. I couldn't even speak. Then it rose up through the ceiling and when it had disappeared, I could move again.
I know I can't prove this or convince you, but this is one experience that convinced me about the existence of ghosts.

I remember having experiences when I was 9.. I kept on getting lifted up.. even if it were just a little every week... It ended though, as soon as me, and my parents moved.. I kept on telling my parents about it, and they didnt believe me. Eventualy, my grades started to decline, and i got little sleep. my parents finally worried about me, and we moved.

i do and dont believe in ghosts, ive seen a couple, mostly my
nan i think she protects me tbh(im not religous btw)
but ive watched a couple of shows that explain that electrical
currents/pulse or wateva can cause things to move or make a
sound even show up on pictures
so im not too sure
aliens yes coz we're all aliens to other aliens,
i dont think theres any in our solar system tho just us
but definatley next door or a few doors down lol

I go through sleep paralysis quite often. It can be fearful but after a few episodes you learn its not a ghost ;)
and my neighbor with narcolepsy suffers it almost once week if not more :)

i don't believe in ghosts nor do i believe in UFO's
ghosts:
ghosts are against everything we have discovered. one of those things is that ghosts are invisible but not too all humans, some can see them !! whoooooooooo 0.o an image is created by reflected light and so everyone or noone should be able to see a ghost and not just a small group of persons. also ghosts are really cold everyone that believes in ghosts will tell you. but most of the times people explain a paper suddenly flying of the table as work of a ghost while the temperature was normal and so those stories can't be real either.
i think all the people who saw a ghost are mentally ill, sorry to say this but i really think so.
UFO's:
why the hell would a very inteligent species travel a billion light-years to earth just so they can make some crop-circles WHY ??!!
anyways if there are aliens coming to earth a super-soaker will kill 'em all according to one of the worst movies made ever (signs) and if ghosts were real... they aren't that scary... they can't do anything but fly through you and make you really cold oeeeeeeeeh.
my simple message is: don't believe in such bullshit and stick to what the laws of nature tell us(which tells you ghosts can't exist)

Most "laws of nature" are actually models, theories and rules agreed upon by people to explain what we see. They are not by definition "The Truth".
I have seen ghosts on several occasions, that doesn't make me mentally ill. Besides, it's amazing how much people don't see simply because they don't know how to look.

Yes I often wonder why alien species would come to our planet and observe us this often.
The possible explanations i can give you are
1) They are conducting a scientific experiment on our evolution
or possibly our society.
2) They are sightseeing, its like people wanting to go see the moon, so loads of them come over.
3) Most of the ships that we see are not flown by extra terestrials but by the american government
( I read this in a paper describing the information given at a
speech by an ex intelligence veteran ).

Its possible that the ghosts can only be seen when certain conditions are met eg atmosphere, frequency of light,
and maybe the person viewing can see wavelengths in a slightly lower or higher range then you and I.
I would imagine that a camera maybe has a range of frequencies slightly larger then our eyes do.
Science has discovered many things and laws to describe them, but there is a lot we don't know.
Particle wave duality is a good example. sub atomic particles and forces were only starting to describe.
So I think lots of strange stuff could happen,
the everyday world that we see is by no means simple or
logical when u look closely.

Ok, so I was in my room and i swore i heard growls (demon growls) and im like nah its my mind but then my parents heard...so i talked to my friend Purger Of Darkness and hes like there prolly just imaginations and im like oh.. but then anyone who walks in our house atm hears em
then in our attic you hear voices, and tapping but yet weve had rat exterminators and even my dad goes to see and everything goes quiet
Then 1 week later we hire this priest that lives down our street to come bless our house, as he was doing this kind of ceremony all the sudden 2 knives fall off the counter and we hear a fall up stairs but nothing fell O.o
So then My mom hired my super aunt whos this wierd psychic (wierd but still) and apparently we have these things called *demon orbs* soo im afraid i do have this wierd house
But then now when ever im alone and i play GW i feel as if somones watching me and i hear whispers and it like follows me even to the cafe...so ive elarned to "befriend ghost" so yes i do believe in them and always will
Besides Aliens are real to EVERYONE, i mean really cats and dogs could be aliens from cat dog planet planning to destroy earth and rule us humanic people
