I recently downloaded this addon...
I was told to put the file in C:/programfiles/worldofwarcraft/interface/addons...
But when I logged on I never got the little addons tab at the character select and I never got to use it. Could someone please help?

That's where you're suppose to put it. Did you make sure to unzip the file? Is there a read-me file with it?
Maybe the FAQ section for that site will be able to help.

It wasn't zipped I think... And I read the FAQ i dont get it and it doesnt help

Ok, I downloaded the add-on and it works on my computer. It is zipped when you download it. It comes as a .rar file. If it still looks like this
Then you haven't unzipped it. You can use winrar to unzip it.

After unzipping you should have a folder called "AlphaMap". That is the folder that goes into the addons directory. Hope tthis helps.

well remember j he may have WinZip, thats the WinRar icon, but WinZip essentially works the same way, you have to unzip it by clicking on the file you downloaded and extracting that into your addons folder.
DO NOT download directly into your addons folder that will slow your game performance down and make a mess. Make a seperate folder somewhere, I have one on my desktop called WOW Extras.
