When you toggle on this power you become Unyeilding. You are resistant to all damage except Psionics, as well as Knockback, Sleep, Hold, Immobilize, and Disorient effects. However, your defiant stature means you are more likely to be hit.
So Let me get this straight...Unyeilding does -Def? Is it even worth getting cause of that? It's like walking around with a Debuff attached to you.

Oh it is absolutely worth getting, not only is it your mez protection but you will see a definitive boost in resistance as well. No invulnerability tank can truly be invulnerable without it :)

Jersey, it's an absolute must have. It's a damage resistance power, meaning no defense, but it allows you to resiust more damage, just by including it. Throw 3-4 slots of dsamage resistance in it and 1 end reduction and you're golden. With it you won't be knocked all over the place, or held by any foes. It's a great power to have, you'll come to love it. Not sure if you're building a tank or scrapper here,as the invul set is availble to each, but it's definitely worth getting on either or.

and the -def is only like 5% so it's not bad. if you go the leaping travel route, the combat jumping +def makes up for it.

Yup, what they said...nothing ticks a Villian off more than a guy that can't be knocked down ( and ticking Villians off is a Tanks middle name ). Then later you can get Invincibility which is almost more confusing when you see it offers +defense, +accuracy and can be loaded with Taunt ( works like a charm in keeping a larger group aggroed and helps compensate for the herding nerfs ).

Additionally, in the same powerset is Invincible and Tough Hide, both of which add far more defense than Unyielding takes away -- and Tough Hide is one of those no-endurance-cost, always-on powers.

Yep, and tough hide makes up for whatever unyielding costs in defense
