New titles - Vanquisher

Ok so with the new titles we're going to want to collect all the data we can about them. I've just spent the last who knows how long doing the Vanquisher (clearing out) in the Black Curtain and the worst thing was not knowing how many critters there were to kill!

So...add to this thread with a little screenie like so:

and we can start building up the info for these. I guess you can just write stuff in but we'll want the image as confirmation at some point just to stop any chance of an argument.

Didn't know there was a hard mode until i saw lvl 22 chars patrolling in ascalon xD...

Nice update btw!!! Finally a new challenge in the GW world:D

u know lyndz got people know me cus of the update introducing many new maxed titles, so poor old me still not got kind of a big deal :(

I want to vanquish stuff, and explore, but...i cba and rly dont have time to clear entire areas...

Unfortuantely the number of enemies to vanquish and area is not set. Good idea and I agree with your frustration I was at 206 on the Plains of Jarin looking for that last 1 or 2 or 3, finally got it at 207. This is going to be tough especially in areas with pop-ups

Keep posting as at least it will giva a range to look at.

I cleared Traveler's Vale last night, only had to kill 79 things. Didnt take a screenshot, but I would say it ranges from 79 to 168.

Update in whenever I dont feel lazy.

Yeah I would think travelers Val would be heavily dependant on what open quest you had. For example the one where you have to clear the way to Borlis path would spawn a lot more enimies to kill

i cant do any hard modes. the 1 char i had finished a campaign i got tired of. getting close to NF finish though with ele...sucks that you have to finish a campaign i think...

Did you delete your character? if not, log in on him once, than any level 20 on you account can do hard mode in that campaign.

As for Traveler's Vale, that might be it....I didnt have that quest, or any others for that matter, when I cleared it.

But if you can't be bothered to finish a campaign, it's unlikely you'll be up for the challenge of Hard Mode. It's pretty time consuming, especially the areas where you can only go out with 4 people versus level 26 mobs :P

I think the requirement of finishing the game first is not too bad. You only have to have finished it with one of your existing characters for all the rest to be able to access it. If find this out to my frustration, that I had deleted the only character I've ever bothered to get all the way through prophecies, so had to do Hell's Precipice this morning to catch up.

Incidentall I reccomend trying Doppleganger on Hard Mode to get your title track started, it's still just as easy with the empathy trick :P

Instead of finishing campaigns i more did things for fun (Farm sorrows furnace, PvP, help guildie with thing, etc) ive gotten FAr in campaigns but never finished.

The zone outside of Gates of Kryta is also very easy, only took me about 30 mins with hench/heros.

First of all, hello to everyone as I'm totally new here. I have been browsing the site for some time now but today I decided to take and register to possibly participate in the discussion on the forums.

But to get on with the topic, I cleared Old Ascalon only a little time ago. It took almost 2 hours to complete (not the best possible group maybe) and it was the first area for me to be Vanquished. So here's the screenshot:

It lacks the amount of monsters in the picture but with that run we needed to kill 221 to get it done. It almost got problematic as there was a lot of devourers under the ground and we needed to walk around trying to "trigger" those.

There was no update that increased the monsters.....when you leave town, it randomly generates the number of monsters, and how they are split into groups. For instance, the Glimmer of Light monk boss in NF, his group always consists of him and 1 of the rampaging guys, but sometimes there is another healer and a mesmer with his group, sometimes its 2 mesmers, etc. All that happened is your spawn consisted of more guys....if you check out the vanquisher title on guildwiki, it has a pretty good list(which is constantly being updated) of the ranges of monsters that have been in the various zones.

Also some of the mobs are pop ups. If you manage to avoid triggering them you don't have to kill them.
