Welcome to the site Destrovos, and I love Heroes. Its been a long month and 1/2 or so in waiting for the return and these next episodes are going to go by too fast.
I have heard rumors that Heroes is only a mini-series or that it may not be picked up next season but I wont hear any of it. I could see a break in it to create a new story or such but other than that...I cant see it being removed totally. But even if that is its future I still will watch and love this show. And I want to know what Grandma's powers are...come on now....both Peter and Nathan have powers. Nathan's daughter; so Mom/Grandma has to be able to do something....and I am starting to wonder if maybe she had a hook up w/ Linderman. Of course this is all hypothetical guessing.

I agree. I have a feeling also that she was with Linderman orginaly, in his "Good" Times, and she is now again trying to make things "right". I was yelling at her last nite demanding a show of her powers...only to be disappointed..

We're all in luck. They announced that it was picked up for a second season a couple of months ago. And yes, I love Heroes, too.

Welcome Destrovos. and Grif I had heard something similar. I didnt beleive it either. There are just so many ways that a show like this can go story wise. And with the popularity of comic originated movies, i.e. Spiderman etc. I would think that this show has a pretty big following. I know Ill be watching
(edit by Grif...fixed your quotes big guy)

I've been enjoying this show too. The current theory in my house is that Linderman and the Senator's mom were an item at some point. Probably why Linderman is taking so much of an interest in him. The senator is probably his son.
The show is a short run mini series. They will be showing a finnaly at the end of this run, so break out your Tivos! It may generate a spin off series, but it is officialy a "mini-series". It will not be coming back next year.

Mr. Petrelli was a lawyer for Linderman and aside from the fact that he was a lawyer for a millionaire, he stole money from Linderman and L-man had him wacked, hence the riches.

nope hes just SUPER smart, and has a mind like a steel trap. But I do remember that as well. The old man Petrelli was a crooked lawyer. Crooked in the sense that he worked for bad guys. And I beleive (this is where my memory fails) that Nathan? testified in a court case against his fathers wishes, implicating Lenderman in some kind of wrong doing.
Can any one help me out with this one?

You are right (on both accounts..lol). I do recall now, about Nathan testifying. Was something that was mentioned in the very early episodes and it was brief.
Thanks for the memory recall :)

"Hi, my name is Electra Outlaw, and I'm a Heroes addict"
I can't seem to love this show enough. I am not a fan of television- but Heroes is the one and only show that I will schedule my life around.
You all have some great insight, and thanks for the refresher about Nathan!
Yes, when Peter took on Sylar, I almost squealed like a little girl. If I weren't happily engaged (40 days left!) to a wonderful guy, I would probably be stalking Peter Patrelli. (Obviously don't know his real name. See? I'm a good girl) I can't WAIT for the real face off between Peter and Sylar.
I'm also ecstatic to hear that they have signed for another season.
As far as Granny goes, I don't know. . . can she see the future? I guess that one is taken. So- um. . . oh I know! She's an electric blaster!

LOL >^__^<
Now THAT would be cool. But there have already been duplicate powers shown. Sylar and the younger Patrelli brother are both power absorbers. She could have that power potentially. Or a variation of it.
It's funny to see that the producers gimick is working so well on us. You know that in some production conference room someone suggested....... "Imply that she's one of them and then don't have her use her powers. The fans will go nutz wondering what they are!" It's driving me nutz too =P
Did anyone else notice that once Sylar absorbed the "Painting the future" power his version of the painting was warped. Sort of implying his evil and warped personality. I thought that was a cool twist in there.

I did notice! Very cool detail that was not overlooked.
And yes- the producers' gimicks have worked on me since the first episode. In fact, I'm pretty sure at the end of each ep, I say out loud "I hate that show" because I am so angry at the cliffhangers! When the series is released on DVD, I'm going to buy it, put on some jammies, and spend two days in my house doing nothing but watching back to back heroes. That will make me happy.
EDIT: Oh, and Sylar isn't like Peter at all. Peter absorbs powers naturally. He was called an "emp" (as in empathy, of course!) by that invisible guy. On the other hand, Sylar had no powers to begin with, which is why he started killing people. Somehow- he forces their powers upon himself by removing their brains. What he does with the brains, I would like to hear your speculations. My finace thinks he eats them. But- uh. . . I don't.
(I'm afraid I'm talking too much. Should this be in the off-topic forums?)

I actually have to disagree with this.
In one of the first episodes where you meet Sylar before he kills everyone, he does refer to some gift of sorts. Might of been my imagination but when he's in the clock shop, where he worked before meeting Mohindur, at one instance there is kinda of a close up to a watch that he's working on...and something is kinda shown... His does have ap ower, however its not absorded like Peter. He kinda finds the way your power works, from your brain, and learns to adapt it to him.
Thats what I think, anyone recall what I'm referring too?

Yes, I recall that as well. As a matter of fact when he shakes Mohindur's hand he tells him precisely how much of a fraction of a second his watch is off. He described his gift as something like "I can just look at thinks and know how they work". or something like that.

I believe they said "he can see how things work" which was why he was such a good clockmaker/clocksmith/clock-fixerupperguy
So by actually looking at their brains, he can figure out how their powers work. The first guy he killed was the telepath, so he had to crack him over the skull to split it open and kill him. That's how he's able to draw the line with his finger and cut people's heads.

NOOOOO!
ok and yeah he figures out how they do their power by looking at their brains, and then is like, o ok i can do that. i really like that Mohindur (sp?) has no powers, it makes him such a great character. also, Claire is SUCH a badass. at first, she was like hiding, then she rammed that car into the wall and nearly killed the rapist guy. i know, it was long ago, but it was still cool.
and i think the gramma has some sort of destructive power, or she would have shown it to Claire.

To add to that remember that Episode where Sylar was imprisoned by Claires dad, he said something like "You made so many changes to your Dna that your unstable, blah, blah, blah." So After He telekinetically removes there brains he somehow alters his DNA to match. Does that sounds righter?
