First, run deadmines to get a lot of linen/wool.
Then do SM to get a lot of silk.
Come back once your done.

Oh then jsut buy a bunch of thread and then go to the tailoring shop, and just stand there and level it. For disenchanting, buy a bunch of low stuff from the Auction House and then disenchant it all. Thats what I did and I have 200 strange dust and 40 Greater magic essences.

Well as far as i know and written down,
You'll need roughly arround 160 stacks of Linnen
200 stacks of Wool
760 of Silk
520 of Mageweave
900 of Runecloth
and 120 of Rugged Leather.
And this is just to get to 300.
I could write down everything you need to make in order to reach it, so if you want it you could pm me your email and ill send it to you as soon as im done with it ><
GGS is recruiting. Post a application here.

Whoah! Are those numbers the total amount of cloth or the number of stacks?? That seems like a lot =/

Total number :)
But in the longrun, tailoring itself is a good money maker (16 slot bags for example).
Merry Christmas and Happy New Years, everyone.

Yep that sounds like about the right amount of stacks, though you may get away without the rugged leather. You should have enough mats to start enchanting if you buy shards or I would suggest running Stocks, SM, Ulda and such to get blue BOPs off the bosses to get shards from because you will need atleast some to power up your enchanting.
Also you should submit your tailorinng stacks in a tip and hint lady, just write up a bit more for it, I am sure people would love to know that in the future.

Just make sure you make all of the green items you can and DE them. I leveled my enchanting pretty quick with all the tailored items I DE'd.

So once i go through the Recipes, do i take them back to the tailor? How does that work to actually make items?

In WoW YOU are the tailor, YOU make the item, Not like in other games where you take the recipe and the mats. You can make it, take it and use it anywhere you want as long as you have the mats to make it. recipes are learned and used over and over agian. You never forget a recipe. Same thing with ALL skills in wow.
Also anything you make that is not marked Bind on Pick Up, means you can make it for other people and sell or trade it to them for gold. :-)

enchanting is very easy to lvl, my lv45 war has 250+ enchanting which none of the mats came from him farming, it will all greens and normal group drops from my pally that built up all the mats for him so if u can farm quickly enuf you'll be able to hit 300 in id say 3-5days.
