From the April 19th update
Changes to Normal Mode
The following monster AI modifications have been made to Normal mode only. Monsters in Hard mode continue to use the most challenging AI available.
* Monsters in Normal mode now respond more slowly to AoE damage.
* Monsters in Normal mode are now less likely to kite for long periods of time.
* Melee monsters in Normal mode will once again focus all of their attacks on a single target.
Does this mean that the Gear trick in Sorrows Furnace will work again? Just wondering

No, it just means that they all target whomever one targets.

its means warriors can tank alot easier :P but irs not tht hard to tank in hard mode though :( just cleared Ice Floe on my warrior with my mate and heroes taked like a freak so easy :D

This means that you will be babied until you beat a campaign lol
i beat prophecies on my warrior then deleted him and made a new one. For some reason i cant play hard mode! is this because i deleted him? if so... thats stupid

Yep. It goes by your current characters... if you delete the ones that beat a game, no HM for you.
I still need to finish up the last few missions in Elona so I can check out HM there.

I would assume you could access hard mode after deleteing the character, BUT you must log on once on the character who beat the campaign to "unlock" hard mode....and since you deleted him, kinda hard to log on with him.
What I'm meaning is if you now beat a campaign, then delete the character, it should work fine, maybe not though....it might go off your character screen, not 100% on that.
