uhg help with photoshop

i just got photoshop today. so i started trying to make some images look all good and sutff(i suck). my problem is, when i move the multiple images onto a single background, i can only move it around once. after i move the next image on, i can no longer move the previous one around. anyway that i can?

edit: anyone know of any tutorials i could use?

Yea there's hundreds of good tutorials for photoshop. It's a good way to learn the basics and get used to the interface, and also give you some inspiration for your own work.

Just google for "Photoshop Tutorial Basics" or something similar.

Sounds like you need to find some tutorials, for now find one on using layers.

Opening the layers palette should enable you to easily switch between layers and work with the parts of the image you wish too.

Thats assuming you are using a RGB color for your image and not something like indexed color. (check Image->Mode)

Congrats on getting photoshop - theres a lot of basic understanding you'll need to pickup, so hunt out some tutorials as suggested above.

Hopefully off the top of my head I was able to help you out a little for starters. Photoshop truly is fun! :)

Your main problem is the fact that when you add a new image, Photoshop automatically makes it on what we call a new layer, basically just another piece of paper. If you want the move the other one you added previously you'll have to select that layer.

When you have opend your photoshop, simply press f7 to open your layer window and there you can select any layer you may have added =).

Now for some tutorials, there are manny good websites. My best advise it to look at this link

Your problem most likely would be layers. whenevr you inmport or drag a picture onto your "main" project photoshop automatically makes a new layer for it. in order to use the image u put in, simply click on the layer its on and than you can edit it. Also, try these sites:

good job on 1st attemp! i can still remember how i sucked at 1st time XD

this was tha last familly sig i made:

the background has too many colors in it which covers your characters... maybe adjusting them would make your characters more recognizable

do you know any way that i could get rid of the seem down the middle? since i sued 4 layers, therse a seem down the middle, that i find distracting. i tried blur and such but that didnt work :(

Hmm... well I'd try just making a new layer, then brushing and smuging abit (with a color thats abit between the two on the seem, eg: Blue |seam| Red, so the seam in purple and smudge it abit.

You are having trouble with layers. One way to switch between layers is right clicking on the image, and select the layer it's on.

ive used it for a lot of sigs and different effects such as bullet holes, icy text, its all good.

its helped me a lot when i used to use photoshop, havent used it in awhile though seeing as i dont have much time.

lol, actualy today was my birthday and i had been asking for it sooo........
edit: and even if it wasn`t, i have about 1300 dollars in my savings account. thought i wouldnt want to blow that much from there

Hmmm? the only other way to get PhotoShop is to get it illegally, which can get you in deep trouble... The only true legal way to get it is buying it.. Unless you wanna get in trouble, go steal it.. if you dont wanna get in trouble, buy it.. the only ways to get it..
