How much time do you spend in hard mode?

I see very few players doing hard mode in towns and outposts. The only way I can get a hard mode group is with guildies/allies. This means that if my guildies/allies aren't available to do hard mode stuff together with, I have to fall back to taking dumb henchies with me. It seems like very few players are doing hard mode.

So, how much time do you spend in hard mode?

EDIT: Also, how do you normally do hard mode? With guildies/allies? With h/h? Or with PUG?

I'm split 50/50 with guildies/allies (weekends) and h/h (weekdays). I've yet to find a single PUG group for hard mode. Granted, the post just started, but most players are voting they spend more time in hard mode. So why the lack of PUG doing hard mode? Is hard mode not a PUG thing? Considering how bad PUG is at even normal mode, I can understand if most players avoid PUGging hard mode. -_-

Well, im not in a pve guild, but we still tried a bit of hard mode before and boy it was hard... i tried starting at sardelac sanitarium with me and heroes, nearly cleared old ascalon, but got dped to ineffectiveness. I agree that few people are PuGing hard mode, but I also think it's because of the location of the outposts/party size. For example, trying to vanquish ascalon, starting from places like grendich courthouse and sardelac sanitarium, there is hardly anyone there at the best of times. Also, lots of good players don't trust PuGs imho. You might see a few inexperienced players screaming "LFP HARD MODE MISSION", where a good player (not all of you of course) might just think omg noob go away, ill just hench this. Example: i was standing on the rings in the canthan festival thingy, and saw this guy from eE(for all you pve'rs that dont know, there a rank 89(or something like that) PvP guild called electronic empire) and i asked him a few questions, as i do to top guild players. So he went on to say how he played for PnH in the celestial tournament and saying how all eE recruit is R9 players. So me and a few of the other guys there ask him to display his title, and all we get is...lol i have nothing to prove to Pve noobs...wtf?!?!. Some think that, some dont. The polite good players might not have the time to get a pug. Also i think that there isnt a great deal of interest in hard mode atm, lots of good players are farming or simply carrying on with what they used to do in Pve.

I'd love to acheive vanquisher title, or any title hard mode based, and I'd be interested in trying to get into a PuG. Maybe we could arrange some hard mode meetings here on gameamp sometime :p.

Once a toon is through the game, there are few reasons to revisit the normal mode. Cartography might be one, except that it gets done alongside vansquishing, running perhaps, or chest running if you're cranking up Treasure Hunting and Lucky. Solo farming in Hard Mode is wickedly good and the new HM challenges (Vanquisher, Guardian) are actually challenging instead of boring.

I mostly end up in normal mode by accident when I forget to turn HM on, then wonder why all the monsters have taken an overdose of sedatives.

I've Vanquished 8/34 areas in Elona in hard mode, purely using Heroes + Hench :)

It's not that hard really, and a nice way to work on Explorer titles (amongst others) without the pressure of other real players trying to hurry things along.

I made 730k+ in 2 hours of solo farming.
Just farm a specific rare item until you get it rather than just a whole bunch of random places :P

I made 730k+ in 2 hours of solo farming.
Just farm a specific rare item until you get it rather than just a whole bunch of random places :P

And may i ask what you farm then and where/what build/what prof :)

Over 200k in 2 hours is hard to believe, you must be farming a large area or on several charcters else the overfarm would kill your drops.

i guess u got like 3-4 perfect weapons then?

I spend around an hour or two a day solo farming hard mode in several areas, just keeps the money coming in for other things.

i plan to vanquish tyria when ive played through more nightfall.

or... he/she's just farming certain uber expensive (still, but not for long) items, and has lots of luck. remember that some weapons still sell for up to 800k...
if we three think about same spot, it's just matter of time when you get 400k+ in one run. solo farming in HM totally overrun normal mode farming, too many rares. and even purples drop like rain, my char got like +80 to wisdom title in past 6h of farming... + lotsa cash

and back to topic i am: i spend like 99% of my time in HM, usually farming, as guildies sleep. Later on we're up for some vanquishing/guardianing (whoosh!), sometimes some high end areas in HM. lot's of this, getting even bit of sick of it. where's the good old whack the mantis for 200+ in normal mode :P anyways, hm is future i guess, matter of getting all titles max in nm (that'd be only protector left), rest - cartographer + vanquisher can be done together, so why not save time and do them simultanously? lot's of cash, h/h is fun (except for 20x ss from skales or inferno imp spike, touch spike and other "fun" thingys).

I just went into hard mode for the 1st time. I did Plains of Jarin and get about 2k in cash, then with selling to the merchant and also selling the 2 gold drops I got for only 500g each, I netted over 6k....I like hard mode!!! This is with me [Me/Mo], 3 heros.

Well I got my 730k+ in 2 hours of PURE farming, no breaks, no stops, just pure grinding.
It was also for a colossal scimitar which is very easy to farm and thus has gone down from around 100k+160e to 100k+90e to around 100k+10e for a r9 one.

Now that I have the cash needed I'm starting to powertrade, you could lose a few of ectos in a 5 second trade, but you could also gain dozens of them in another 5 second trade.

Find something you want and GRIND GRIND GRIND!
People say GW isn't about the grind but if you really need over 200k+ in 2 hours then grinding or powertrading is the way to go ^_^

(This is all my opinion though, I could be off 100%. But it's a forum, that's what you do. :P)

I am sorry, what on earth are you farming? I guess this money you got was because you sold gold weapons like Colossal Scimitar, otherwise no way.
