| What happened to the Arenas? |

When they first introduced the Arenas (forget which issue), I could always get into a match with at least one other toon and ideally a lot more. Now I can barely get a match with anyone, let alone a group.
I'm thinking that one reason is that most players just don't want to spend time in the arenas when they can be advancing their characters. My second thought is that the change to the arena interface has actually made it harder to get those "quick" matches up and running. (BTW, is it even possible for the "system" to schedule matches for groups of less than 8?) When I do schedule my own events, no one seems to ever join.
Anyway, I'm really just venting. I miss the 1 vs 1 in the Arenas. I wish they'd actually reward some minimal XP in the Arenas just to get some people playing there again. BTW, I do get some good PvP action in Siren Call but its not quite the same.

Im going to have to agree with you there whole heartedly, i mean i love gladiator matches but theresut never a challenge and it annoys me ¬_¬ i too miss those little two on two or one on on duals i used to have when i first started playing :(

The only arena matches I've ever been able to participate in are those for which I recruit players personally. The prescheduled ones are pretty much useless. You can, however, have arena matches for fewer than eight -- I've run them for 2, 3 and 4. Gladiator matches, granted, but Arena matches all the same.

The arena was a great idea the unfortunately got out paced by the pvp zones.
There have been times when I wanted to fight in the arena but could not find anyone to compete against. So after random visits and finding no one there I have pretty much given up on finding a fight there so I go the the pvp zones and try to find a pick up fight with greater chance of someone being there to fight.
It would be a good idea if they would start promoting fight nights with awards and prizes to the victors.
It would even be helpful if there are people with greatly different levels to have a handicap system in place for the duration of the fight they can be the same level.
Buy yes it will be a shame to see the arenas fall to the wayside and not be used as intended.
