Can the characters travel to other servers? I am in Silverlode and would like to go to Brier..etc.
How do you get the blue line in the experience part along the bottom of the screen?

At the moment, there is no way to transfer your characters from one server to another. If you want to play on another server, you will have to start over there.
As far as the 'blue bar' goes, that is called rest exp. Rest exp bascially doubles your exp earned from killing mobs until it is used up. You earn it from being logged off and maybe from just not killing mobs at all while online. The last I am not totally sure on but that is the rumor.

Thanks for the help. Any idea what the tree is for? Looks like a family tree on one of the popups. Is this the kinship list?

Yep its if you take a son or daughter in game. Or if you become a son or daughter of someone else in game.

More Noob questions:
the little flags with numbers on map...how do they work?
Is there someway to find where to go after the quest you finished?

The little flags on the map are obviously, points of interest but the numbers are Coordinates. If you wish to see your exact coordinates you can type ;loc in your chat area and it will give you a read back of where you are.
So if I remember correctly the numbers run from top of map (1) to bottom of map (however many it may be at bottom). And left side of map to right side works same way 1 being on left to right being whatever number. I believe that is the right way of the coordinates.
As for your last question, I am bit confused. What do you mean by "where to go after the quest you finished"? Are you asking where to go for quest (Area) when you get a new quest? Or you asking how to get back to contact after you do the quest?
I will verify the direction of coordinates starting point next time on game.

I finish a quest and not sure where I got it. I have a huge list of them and some take time to finish: like kill x# of critters. I love to explore and craft and lose track of where the quests came from to get credit when done with them.

The quest itself should tell you who gave it to you or if the quest is listed on your screen (side of screen) sometimes it says there for instance...a lone land quest... Return to Falster the Fox with Furs.....or whatever.
But you should be able to read the quest that is completed for it to tell you where to go back to. Also if you looked at what region the quest is in then that may help. If its under Bree-Land, Lone-Lands then you should have a pretty good idea what region to go to.
Also you could always list the quest here and we could figure it out most likely.
