Eurovision
The Eurovision will take place this year in Helsinki Finland. I know this isnt popular or even watched in other parts of world, but here in Europe it some what is "huge" and popular. Are you going to watch Eurovision and if so what is your favorite singer/band?
My self will watch it and haven't seen all the bands, but im leaning towards Irish celtic music.

Eurovision is famous for really terrible music, no I will be avoiding it with the largest of large pointy sticks that I can avoid it with. :)
The only good thing to come out of this crap-fest is Lordi. And can someone tell me why all of the UK entries are soooo bad they make me want to jump off something really tall?
Highest amount of DVDs ever rented in a day was when the Eurovision was on. Besides, as Lordi has proven, no super-mega cool world famous music will be born by winning the contest ^^
Ah.. that explains why Piratebay.org has their logo changed to a special eurovision one ^_^
But I certainly wont be watching.. Eurovision music is terrible and if there are exceptions ill hear them after the eurovision on the radio.. then ill judge that one ''best'' song. I certainly wont be watching all that... erhm.. good tries to make a good song.

I watch eurovision to hear good old Terry Wogan rip the living hell out of the contestants and he can predict any countrys top points as its all done diplomatically, therefore the UK gets no points whatsoever (and yes it also has something to do with our stupid chouce of acts).

Not just 40+. Most people that are younger than 10 too. I'm 15 and I tend to watch it while playing guild wars. And I know many other watch it as well. It's like religious going to church every sunday, you might not like it, but you will do it.

Shamefully what you tell is 100% correct, off course I dislike the Eursong Festival in every single way that it is for 2 main reasons.
1) The Festivals isn't all about the song's anymore, if you ask me politics AND extravangaza have taken over.
2) The more or less good groups, including my country's entry('s) and other(s), are being ignored. Lordi was a brake thrue in the form off Rock and Metal and I congratulate them, but their we're better.
i watch the eurovision just because its interesting somtimes.alot of countries,a kind of shared experiance all watching songs form differant places with differant languages (somtimes).although i have to admit alot of songs in the semi final were like that of a highschool battle of the bands competion.but still i have watched it every year and want to continue to.

I Certainlly will not be watching it for two reason's. One is because England (my country) will never win because its all about politics not singing talent at all. Certain countries will only vote for there "friends" for example i bet spain will get a 10 from portugal and visa versa. And seeing as Britain has no friends we have no chance :p. Second reason is because our entry's are soooo darn rubbish, if any of you havent seen our entry this year yet it is terrible.
So i definatley wont be watching it.

Time to blow my eardrums, bleed my ears and kill a few braincells i guess.....ugh...ive watched it once...Lordi almost killed me......all the others were torture
Everyone knows how ridiculous Eurovision is. Some countries enjoy it but they are mostly from Eastern Europe and it's their only chance to get on telly =].
The best thing about Eurovision, as someone else has said, is to hear Terry Wogan rip all the acts, and especially the French. Personally I would hate Eurovision if it wasnt for our Terry.
