Well, I9 has been around for a bit and everyone should have had some time to experience all of its...splendors.
What is your impression of the new additions so far?

I enjoy the new costume pieces very much, since im a bit of a cossiewhore. I think that the whole Black Market and Consignment thing has made inf a vital part of the game. Which is a good thing, in fact. What i dont like, is that alot of the selling and buying is only 'processed' by those people who have more than 660 million inf, making it impossible for poor people to buy anything. Well, anything like temp. powers and costume pieces.
I must admit though, that most of the prices (6-7 mill for Rocket Boots, for example) are fair, compared to their drop rate and the fact that the owner actually wants to sell them and not keep them. I would. No matter if i needed them or not. Okay, if i need alot of inf [i]now[/], i might sell them.

I like it alot. The auction house and black market has allowed my low lvl toons to gain quite a bit of influence and infamy to spend on DOs and get set for SOs. The invention system is also quite fun, though I think they should have spread the use of the ingedients around. I swear, every other recipe needs spiritual essence or brass to be made. THe revised drop rate for enhancements is better in my opinion. No more worthless GOs cluttering up my inventory when I need a DO or SO dropped. Here's to issue 10 and hopefully the birth of the villians Epic AT. (and hopefully, I'll have a 50 by then)

I've actually haven't Experienced alot about the new issue yet Except for Wentworths/Black Market.I haven't tried the new Hamis yet,Haven't tried to invent anything,Haven't tried to farm for Recipes.But I am addicted to Wentworths/Blackmarket I'm there all the time Auctioning stuff,Bidding on items,and Earning Influence.So i9 is pretty damn good except now I spend more time at the Auction house instead of killing baddies :P

I dunno I think the amount is kinda fair since they rarely drop, and it takes alot of missions and even more luck.

Frankly i think the invention system is cool, but there are way to many badges, what a waste of salavage and infamy -_-
The black market, dont start me off, it HACKS me off and i really do not care for it, my opinion of the game has actually dropped since the markets came out, but the invention system is interesting at least
Put it like this if they suddenly took out the markets i wouldn't complain, even in the slightest

Since I9 hit the game is starting to feel a lot like WoW with all the items and auctions going on. Soon we'll have people arguing in a trade channel and selling things...... I thought I left all that behind me.... The drop rates for those wings suck though! Grrr... I heard best level range of getting them is from like 10-14 but I have no clue as to how true that really is, I just think it probably is because more of the invention recipes will drop since enhancements only start out at level 10 but maybe I'll get lucky like my friend did last night and get my burning or draconic wings .... T_T

Honestly, I think its a little confusing, especially in the beginning. Its cool to have a place to offload stuff you don't want, but its almost pointless to sell Enhancements on the Market (unless they're inventions or the ones that don't change with level). I've found that its useful to get the missing ingredient or two in that recipe you picked up or bought or somehow acquired, but in general, its tough to get what you need/want if you don't have the Influence/Infamy to get them. Its cool to sell stuff for extra cash like the one person above said, but the jury is really still out for me on the auctions/inventions...

Love - Over 70 new Badges, I love Badges, they let other players know I don’t have a life. The BM rocks, I have made almost 20 million infamy from that on my main Godless. I have gotten good stuff at fair prices at the BM. You can now give other players more then 99,999 infamy in a personal trade. Lots of players on-line now.
Hate - Over 70 new Badges, most I will have to spend over 300K to get each one. The BM suck, a lot of over pricing on good stuff. I sell cheap because I want the badges and I don’t expect others to but 10,000 infamy for a medium Rez is to much. To many players on-line, lots of lag and little teaming. Our Villain Group has lost prestige to. We use to turn out over 100K prestige a day, now we are down to abut 75K. When I ask what everyone’s up to they all say they are at the BM.
I have a love hate relationship with I9. Overall I am happy with it. The SG prestige is a minor problem I noticed. I am not concerned with it, I don’t tell other player how to play there game. Some VG mates will log in and say they are just checking there auction status and are leaving, LOL.

This was my take on it at first, but just yesterday, I actually discovered what the IOs actually did, with the extras the provide and all. I thought that was a cool additive. I guess, now, you just have to see how you want to slot a particular power. Some of them use 6 enhancements, some use 4 (that i've seen thus far) and depending on how many you use of that particular set, depends on what extra bonus you receive (with a minimum of 2 enhancements per set for any extra bounus).
I do have a question though...I'm a Spine Stalker and it became obvious that all of the attacks, save one, Thrust, is not a melee attack. Does anyone know what the other Spine attacks are considered?

I'm probably not going to get a chance to try anything out until finals are over. These last few weeks have been crunch weeks for me. Probably the most frustrating and stressful weeks of my life. I honestly shouldn't even be here procrastinating like I this. I've got work to do, you guys have fun!
Oh yeah: I found out I needed glasses a couple days ago. I might have complained if it had happened at some other point in my life, but as it is right now the lifestyle change that brings with it is not too significant in comparison to everything else happening now. Although I did find out a got 100% on my recent English project despite comparing E. E. Cummings to Yoda and writing a one page summary when two pages were the minimum. It should be noted that my English teacher is one of the hardest graders in the school, so yeah, it was that good.

I'm not too happy with the changes. About half the time I try logging onto the Black Market, I suddenly lose connection and get knocked off. I'm then unable to log back in with that toon for about a day and sometimes I'm unable to log in with any of my other toons either.

I like the set bonuses that come with IO's. Makes me think about what I'm really tying to do with a power. I've gotten 12 "Invention: Endurance Reduction" recipes and 1 of a set I really want. It's also making me ONLY play my mains since I'm always trying to get the good stuff.
New costume pieces are always refreshing but now I debate whether to sell the recipe or wear what I got. I was gonna let go of Rocket boots for 14 mil but ended up keeping them. Now I feel I have to wear them all the time. lol
The many many badge additions make me kinda crazy too. Gonna take a while to get them all but I'm workin on it. Power Seller is the ultimate goal. So so ebay.
oh and the lag....no comment...just happy to see more people on

I love the new Invention system, with the set Inventions which do give u some extra bonuses. The only thing I don't like about I9 is that I get way to many invention salvage and have to delete some in mis's in case of getting what I need.

Welcome to the site mythanous, its always nice to see a fresh face. As for having to delete salvage if you have a sg with a base you can put vaults in there to store your salvage might be somehting to look into they also have them in pocket D if you don't belong to a group. I suggest selling them on the black market as opposed to deleting at least you can make some cash out of it.

Wow, I am a puts thx for the info Villainess Vines about the vault. Yea I do sell on the black market with some salvage, but wanting to keep some cause of rarity does make me hold on to some. And one problem I do find also about the invnetion system is that I got some winged boots invention and since the costume inventions are a bit rare I decided to make one and I had to search forever just to find were the new costume is at the Tailors screen. For I had to change my pants several times to find the boots.

well i think its kinda terrible. I mean no new powers, no new AT's nothing new but cosmetic stuff which was fine in the first place. Cmon been waiting forever for the Epic AT and i thought i9 would be the one..... Anyway only good thing about i9 is the extra chinkage i get from selling recipes and salvage

I agree with the last guy, when the hell are we gonna get our epic AT's!!! The heroes have em, why cant we!? I'm really hoping for them to come in the next issue.
