Well I wanna know what do you think is the best feature in any other online type game.
My personal favorite was the radio in the Matrix Online. You could upload your paylist and have it play while your doing w/e your doing.

Eve online: The market system, infact the whole interface in that game is so well made and thought out.

Guildwars: Instanced multilevel PvP.
WoW: Professions
Guildwars: Lack of racial traits.
Runescape: Billions of quests, some of which are hilarious.
Starcraft: Revolutionary game engine, and probably the greatest RTS ever created.
Warcraft 3: Starcraft with heroes that could be created in an online game environment.
SSBM: 2D fighting that's actually fun because of the way damage is calculated, and how it effects the player.
Guildwars: Level balance.
WoW: Skill balance (the imba here is with gear).
ZZT: Basic based OOP with ASCII graphics that anyone could program.
More to come if I have more free time.
IGN: Rogue Mysst. Guest me for GvG.

Objection!
I used to play RS, and I beat every single F2P (non-member) quest. There were like 15. And friends who were members had like 40. GW has more, no contest

The best feature of online games is size, they gotta be big. The more places to see and find, the better.
Rage the Berserk-lvl 20 War/X
Smiley the Crazed-lvl 20 E/R
Fear the Deranged-lvl 20 Me/Mo
Angry the Insane-lvl 20 Mo/Rt
Trust the Wise-lvl 20 A/N
Hate the Righteous-lvl 20 D/E

not sure if this strictly qualifies but you can make your own mind up. Anyway:
Guildwars - For its staff > player interaction (Gaile & Co) as well as its numerous holiday events and things. (So much more friendly than a lot of other online games out there)
Aztec.

IMO:
1) replay ability (HARD MODE BABY!)
2) interaction with other people who share an interest.
3) competitive game play (PvP, etc)
4) STORYLINE (im not so big on graphics, but they do help.)
5) Knowing that you can actually kill someone (or thing) and not get in trouble! (im not a maniac, i just like games that we can do stuff like that in RPG's and not in real life.)

Guild Wars: You can play it for an hour a day or 10 hours. No one is godlike just because they play all day and night
Linage 2: So jaw dropping pretty
Lineage 1: Zombie room baby! (don't ask)
WOW: Big, lots of areas, class, and races
CoV/CoH: Character Creation
Anarchy Online: Nano robot spells

For me, the skills template system. Make a build, save it, experiment, pass it on, etc.
But best feature over them all:
Gaile and Co. listening to the players. And they do it ingame! :-P
It's not the same game I purchased almost 2 years ago. It has evolved and been improved. A lot of that is because they asked us, took our suggestions and requests. My way of saying thank you? Purchasing a total of 15 separate copies of GW (combined Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall) for me and my 2 children.
/bows to Anet.

1) Replayability (HM certainly encouraged that with GW)
2) Graphics (for an online game GW has the best I've seen so far..)
3) Manufacturers who show that they do care (Anet have proved they do again and again - they keep it very HUMAN)
4) Different styles of play 'to think or to hack? that is the question!'
