I was wondering if there are any good profe ranger builds out there, like new ones. Nothing like trapping or anything like that. I already do solo totem axe farming but wondering if anything thing else worth doing?

Well i am accualy gunna do what u wanted to do, do u know u can farm elite monk tomes with a R/Me only using 6 skills
Here is the build
OgUUEGBOS8KHX5/BAAAIExAMAA
This Build is for Byzzr outside Lutgaurdis in factions
There is a specific, yet simple way to get this done
 Quickpost this image to Myspace, Digg, Facebook, and others!
There is the route u must take (image above), now the skills are pritty easy to use, just make sure u drain his energy until u start using mind wrack
the way it works is, u shud ALWAYS have a -5 above his head and a +2 above yours
P.S if he uses healing breeze you are doing it worng, all he should be using is his signets
Now when u approch the boss, DONT run to him, run behind the wall so that he cannot cause u any damage, and from behind the wall you can begin to us ethe build
Weapons
I use a basic trapping staff, +30Hp, +20 energy, Halve racast 20%
Armor
Any armor with a WS mask and a WS sup rune
This run takes about 5 minutes and the rewards are Elite Monk Tomes which sell from 8-12k and Byzzers Benediction (a monk divine off hand)
Not the best way to make money but if you are a ranger and you like to try things this can be a good farm to tick off your list

however for high leval areas where armor might be quite high try needling shot
1 savage shot
2 sloth hunters shot
3 needling shot
4 Disrupting Shot or Prepared Shot
5 read the wind
6 I would keep troll personally but then I like to pug
7 throw dirt
8 res chant or rebirth

Do you have any ranger experience in PvE? =P Cus needling shot just drains your energy and throw dirt isn't worth the skill slot tbh.
The build I usualy run in PvE:
Expertise: 11 +1
Wilderniss Survival: 10 +1
Markmanship: 10 +1 +1
1. Prepared Shot
2. Savage Shot OR a high damage skill (depends on where you use the build)
3. Distracting Shot
4. Apply Poison
5. "You move like a dwarf"
6. Mending Touch
7. Natural Stride
8. Resurection Chant
The build is pretty straight forward. Keep some distance of your enemies, use "you move like a dwarf" to snare enemies or KD hard-to-kill monks. If a melee foe is on you, use Natural Stride to run away a bit. They usualy pick another target after that. If they still follow you use "you move like a dwarf" so he is crippled.
Remove tough conditions such as Blind or Deep Wound from yourself with Mending Touch. You can also use that skill on the monk if he's Dazed or has Deep Wound covered by another condition.
And use Prepared Shot to keep up your energy, since "you move like a dwarf" costs 10 energy and is not affected by expertise.

Unless it's been nerfed since I last checked. Before Ursan you could run a touch team pretty much the same way in PvE and apparently it was pretty good in PvP too.

You can switch out Apply Poison for Poison Tip Signet.
With a spare preparation you could bring along Rapid Fire or something ...

Waaay too much overkill in PvE imo. After you spike you got 0 energy =P And in PvE you want to able to attack all the time.

Well with prepared shot and expertise, if you run out of energy on a ranger then your doing something horribly wrong.

There's this facinating upgrade for a bow called a zealous mod, if with prepared shot and expertise you're still running out of energy id bring a zealous bow along, with flail/lightning reflexes you should be fine and if you're always wanting to be attacking then why not bring the prepared shot/sundering/all that jazz, you're almost always going to have a low energy attack skill to spam

not really just 4 rangers pve needling shot is armor ignoring.
Also see the comment about zel mods (and prepaired shot).
As for throw dirt, like I said I like to pug. one mans weak skill is another mans conjour frost or weapons spell combined with needling shot.
edit : and your a fine one to talk about e-management with apply poison (instead of poison tip signet) and two coward skills. 15 for poison and 10 for you move like a dwarf add that to the 10 for natural stride and think how many quick needle shots you get to thwunk down a dieing foe. ok no crits but then its steady 30hp. thwunk thwunk thwunk, love that word.
