Hello, im looking for a good Icy Dragon Sword Solo farming build for hard mode since drop rate is crap in normal mode, and i tryed one of the older builds for it and was unable. If anyone could post some help or tips that would be great thx.

icy dragon swords are blue, so im pretty sure that they are affected by the drop scaling, so even in Hard Mode the drop rates wil still be 1/8th of what it was before.

Yes they're gold now. Just bought one few weeks ago. Looks pretty 1337 on you'r inventory as gold.

Can someone explain to me what "easy mode" and "hard mode" are? I don't have nightfall yet and I haven't played GW for a couple of months, so I'm pretty clueless. Thnx.

They are gold so normal mode and hard mode will have basically the same chance of dropping one. So you might as well stick with normal mode.

hard mode isut a harder version of the game, higher levels, 33% faster attacks an all monsters have elite skills.
"easy mode" is proberly normal mode, after the update they lowered there intelagence a bit to make it a bit easier for first timers.
as for icy drago nsword farming,there only worth around 20k, as opposed to the 50k before. i think

doesnt hardmode havea a higher chance of gld drops?

It hasn't been worth 50k for a long time. It shot up a while back to like 30 now I think it's 20 again.

Dunno. It is all based on luck. I'm surprised people still do that long run just to farm them. I tried to do it once and quit halfway due to the fact that I would have made 40k by then doing something else.

Thats the wammo one I found from the guy above's post i personally havent tried it but some standard rit farming builds work well I try to make my own builds often based on a standard because i play better with one i have messed about with

I sometimes farm IDS's.
I use this build and if you pull corerectly (ie - not taking the entire cave), you will easily survive. I've seen rangers, rits and ele builds for this I have yet to try out, but this works for wammos.

Hope this helps. The elite is Shield of Regeneration, which is much more effective than Defy Pain.

I know a few people who farm IDS's and they will usually get one drop about 1 in 4 runs or so. They are not affected by loot scaling as they are now gold drops and are always req 9 15^50. As for a build I can't help you there as I have yet to test out the ones I have. If all else fails just buy one.

I'm not sure if someone's already posted but here is the build that works effectively:
1 Shielding Hands
2 Shield of Regeneration {E}
3 Sprint
4 Dolyak Signet
5 Balthazar's Spirit
6 Desperation Blow
7 I forgot this one :(
8 Healing Signet (I think, as long as the Ice Golems don't have Rust on you).
A good maxed Fiery Dragon Sword will be the weapon choice and shield would be Exalted Aegis.
I have this build on my warrior but with #7 skill...I just can't remember it right now some reason... and healing sig i'm not positive is on there but it works either way... If you want your could put "Watch Yourself!" for the #7 for the Xtra armor/prot
This is just what I used before I made my ids farming Dervish...That's the way to go for fast ids.
