| What PvP "cheating" do you do? |
|
|
|
I was in Siren's Call and a bunch of heroes kept teleporting the villains underneath their own hospital into traps to kill them. What kind of woosie PvP crap is that??
So what kind of stuff do you do? I like to follow are closely behind enemies players as I possibly can, and when they realize I'm behind them, it's too late. lol

Actually the villains started that and were doing it to me and two SG mates a year and a half ago. A group of 30 or 40 of them were waiting at the gate, just outside of the police drone range. So, that's called payback. Just wish i coulda seen it.

I'd think it would be hard to pinpoint just which side was the first to do such a thing across all servers :/

First: Welcome to GameAmp, Kerberos!
Second: Cheating... as in... falling to almost death, full Defiance, teleporting enemy player to you, Fire Sword + Blaze?
Cheating... as in... sniping someone to death in their own base with full Defiance, Aim and Build Up?

Honestly I dont build my toons for pvp, but I see to it that they can hold their own in a pvp enviroment.
I've seen groups off ppl who will use tp foe on their target to tp them into their group where they will have their way with them en mass. Then yank em back to them even when they go back to the hospital, as apparently they still have a lock on them. TP foe is definatly a nasty weapon in those kind of zones.
My sg mate Chaoswrecker utilizes his stealth and a range boosted fire blaster snipe combo where he will fly right over his target and then nail them with that from directly overhead. . .nasty. I've been in pvp zones when hes hunting and gets called every name in the book. And to think that with the new update hes been buying some of those new recipe sets and making his pvp toons stronger? (cringes) just glad hes on my side.

reviving an old topic....
i did this the other day with my FF/psy defender:
made myself look vulnerable, went near the enemy base, and as i expected, i was tp'd into a hole. before i got assassin strike'd, i turned on repulsion field and he went flying, showing my PB teammate where he was, who then blasted him to smithereens while i kept him off his feet with repel and psy tornado. it was really funny, and he didnt try it again.

Not really cheating I guess, but I always type /whoall when I go into a PvP zone which is the command that tells who is in the zone currently. I use it to see if there are people that are higher level than me. It also shows villains too.
Ever use 8 reds, and 8 Purples, 4 Oranges, And a couple of greens just in case while in Unstoppable it's pretty fun.

I'm fairly certain that only 3 of any type of Inspiration are effective at one time. So popping more than 3 reds would be ineffective. Although I don't recall where I read that, and I have nothing to substantiate it.

I know this is kinda "woosie" but one strategy I like to employ in Siren's Call with a team of 6 or larger is this: I base my toon at a secure spot and monitor the health of my teammates. If I see one of them in trouble, I TP him/her back to me, heal them, and send them back into battle. I just love pissing off villains who are moments away from getting a "kill" only to see it vanish! Its not the most exciting thing to do but it works.
I used to think that "teleport friend" was useless in PvP until I saw a team of villains doing this effectively in Siren's Call.

I find that clicking chilling embrace as soon as I hear a stalker tends to piss them off royaly. Especially after I pop a yellow and hit them with shiver...and then blast away at them. Even if they can get off an assasin's strike, they don't seem to get a chance to pull off the killing blow before I can drop them.
Even more fun...run up to them and drop an ice patch ;)
