Well I wanted to make a guild on gw, and 40 needs to go in the name and so I first put in fourty, and then thought of forty, and didnt know which was the right spelling, Most people on my msn said it was fourty, but my 60 year old dictionary says forty.
Which is right, Fourty, or Forty?
-Leave a reply with your answer for the sake of my guild! :D

Its FORTY... always has been always will be. I wouldn't trust people online with how to spell words, though... too much idiocy (no offense to anyone in particular) with abbreviates, so much so that most people online don't know how to spell outside of net lingo.
If you ever have doubt, type the word into Microsoft WORD, and it will tell you. And if it doesn't, then check a dictionary. It doesn't matter how old the dictionary is, words don't ever really change (English to Americanized English is an exception, but that’s only a few words, and you can't even really call the too languages the same anymore, anyway... similar, but not the same).

The mention of those numbers conjured up images of castles for some strange reason.

Just look on the internet when there's a word that you don't know how to write... ;)
