| Design-A-Weapon Winners Announced |

From ANET:
| QUOTE | | The 2007 Design-A-Weapon Contest was the most popular Guild Wars contest ever! We received well over a thousand entries in the contest, and the Dev Team agrees that the quality of the art and the concepts is simply amazing—the best fan art we've ever seen. In the coming months, the player designs selected by the judges will serve as inspiration to the Guild Wars Art Team for the creation of new weapons, shields, focus items, and more! |

I'm wielding a Nudist Bow of Lusting!
There are some interesting designs that I'd love to see in-game, but I'm not sure how happy parents will be if they see their kid running around with a naked chick on their bow?
Don't get me wrong I'd definitely get that bow (I laugh every time I look at it), but there are young kids that play this game.

Studies show that 92% of teens listen to rap. If you are part of the 8% that listens to real music the add this to your signature.

The that dark blue sword is really amazing. I think the Nudist Bow is ridiculous. Storm and Zodiac bow are still the best.
The staves and shields are nice too.
To bad we aint seeing too much hammers and axes.

Oh come on, parents would have to use a magnifying glass to be able to see the bow in it's entirety.

Some nice entries, but when I see others, I'm so angry about the rule that Europeans have to be 18 to enter, my drawings were better than some of these weapons :(

Um, wasnt this posted before? Oh well, I'll post what I posted on the other one (if there was one)
All the swords look awesome, mostly the blue sword!
We wonder, "Why?" when we lose friends, and there are never any good answers.

I don't see whats so spectacular about some of the entries. Personally I prefer the frog scepter over them all. It's simple and should be easy to develope. Thats the problem with alot of them, they go into such great detail that they forget some of these need to be easy on the developer. More detail = greater lag

I don't lag =). Besides better weapons = more people might play the game/stay and a weapon like that blue sword will keep people interested in this game.

Why is it everytime someone mentions lag there's always some person who thinks its all good because THEY don't lag? I don't lag either but I know that not everyone has that luxury.
As for people coming/staying with the game it doesn't matter. With the sequel confirmed there will be very few people who feel it beneficial to jump in at the end when many of the original players jump ship. Plus the expansion is what it is, not really anything that will attract new people unless they already have a vested interest. All in all it is nice that a-net is riding their game to the end and not just letting it die out.
