Sidekicking

If you are not sidekicking your friend or being sidekicked by a friend is it really worth it?

RE: Sidekicking

Sometimes you need to be sidekicked in order to get xp. I cannot remember exactly, but I think you need to be within 5 levels of the team's average level. If you are outside that range, no xp for you!

Now, provided you are still within xp range unsidekicked, then it comes down to whether you can really contribute without being sidekicked. Some heroes, like Empath Defenders who do not require a 'hit' for their heals to work, can do very well at the lower end of the range. Other heroes, particularly damage-dealers, should really be sidekicked if they find they are unable to hit those purples very well. It's only fair to the rest of the team that you be as effective as possible.

Heh Heh, like the soup nazi. And I believe you are correct on the 5 lvl part. Many a times I have seen a newer player try and un SK to try and get more XP. The funny part is when they go through the entire mission not getting any!

RE: Sidekicking

I thought it was within five levels of the highest level player in the group! Example: You are level 35, and the highest level player in the group is level 41: you will NOT get any XP.

RE: Sidekicking

Your right on that, the highest and lowest members of the tema have to be within 5 levels or you will not get any xp.

RE: Sidekicking

You are correctamondo. The highest and lowest level memebers of a team have to be within 5 levels of each other for the group to get XP. As Spunky said.

I believe it is the group and not just the individual. But I could be wrong on that one.

RE: Sidekicking

It's not 5 levels gang. You have to be within 2 levels of the average of the teams levels. This also includes the level as a sidekick for anyone on the team(i.e. A level 20 sidekicked up to level 30 counts as a 30 in the math operator).

It does not look at any one player individualy, it looks at the level for the everyone on the team and creates an average.

As the team gets larger, the ability to stretch the highest and lowest level on the team can be wider because of how the averaging works. So it is possible to have a teammate 4-5 levels higher than someone if you put enough of a span in character levels and have enough members on the team to not break that average level.

As an example:
5 player team with these levels: 35, 34, 33, 32 and 31.
Average = 33
Everyone is within 2 levels of the average and getting exp. And they have 4 levels of difference between the highest and lowest member on the team making it appear that the level range is 4 levels of the highest member. It is not.

As for sidekicking being worth it. Definately. As noted it allows you to team with group not at your level. Thus opening up many more teaming opportunities. You can't always find a group at your level some days.

*EDIT* This has been a topic of debate since they changed the level gap. To prove my point, try to run a duo with a 35 and a 30, and see if the 30 gets exp from a kill.
