recently i made a ground breaking discovery. this is so important because it could change the way you ID. after a bit of research and a lot of chest running, i discovered that on multiples of 100 ID you get really good items. id only recomend doing it on canthan and tyrian items and only ones that might be of any worth. i conducted the experiment with req 9 chaos. i got a 15^50 and a +5energy one as well. mind you i had to mod them, but they are plenty worth while for the money i made. just thot the guild wars community should know of my monumental learning.
be kool. be smart. be strong.

What did you get on your first 100th?
And why not NF stuff?

Dont you think it could have been an odd coincidence?
Id try to get a few other people to do the same thing, to prove it.

I think its merely coincidence or perhaps every 100 gold item drops. When an item drops it already has the mods on it. EG: i find a unidentified butterfly sword max dmg gold and equip it without IDing it i will still notice effect changes such as fortitude if its there but i havent IDed it. Thats why people can sell stuff unIDed safely because you can CHECK for the mods on the weapon.

I completely forgot about that, but you are correct.
Lets say you have 420 life without a sword. If you equip an unidentified gold sword, and your life goes up to 450, then that sword will have a +30 fortitude mod when you ID it.

Oh my god, thats nuts i wouldn't have thought of that, i would have NEVER noticed it, thx!
Then i'll say what i also know about Unidentified items.
It will appear on any melee weapons or bows/spears. Obviously won't be seen on Wands/Staves.
For Example:
A Unidentified Scimitar drops, before you identify it you would expect to see "Slashing Damage" next to the damage, but you then see only "Dmg" When you find an item like this, A hammer/Axe/Sword/Bow/Spear/Scythe/Dagger that doesn't say the type of damage before "Dmg" BUT says JUST "dmg" then it has an elemental damage upgrade on it. I figured this out all by myself ;)
