i was just looking at the mallyx guide, went to the main page, switched to cnn, came back and the guide was gone....why?

Yes there was one, it was about how to kill mallyx. It is strange. 15 minutes and now it's not there...

it was an ACTUAL guide, look, its there, but the posters name is gone, and the date it says it was posted is in 1969.

The original poster is correct....it WAS there....though I didn't look at the guide, I did see it there for at least a minute or two, and now it is gone.

As i just said, maybe an admin spilled something over the keyboard, panicked, hit the mouse and when he pushed the button it was by coincidence on the Delete This Guide Button (big red buddon i suppose ;) and it got deleted.
Thats just a scenario i can think off, many ways it can go wrong.

Well, I wasn't around when it happened, but the most likely scenario I think is that the guide was accepted by mistake, and after realising the mistake it was deleted. If it needed more work on it, then the admin in this situation would have PM'd the author of the guide to suggest improvements. If and when the guide is deemed up to scratch, then you will see it again in the guides section.
If it does turn out to be an error then the author can simply resubmit the guide, either way I'm sure we'll find out soon enough.

Well its wierd, my Guide ended up replacing it but the Mallyx Guide looked great to me...

Yep i read the guide, it detailed all professions and skills needed, all the areas with maps and then how to kill mallyx. There was a screen of the monk cheering at the end.

i gotta say i didn't read this guide (wishing i had :() but it seems that with people saying this, that i can't see how it could possibly have been deliberatly deleated because of lack of detail...just my 2 pennies

The mystery is resolved......I remember awhile back I accidentally submitted one of Harrows guides after he messaged the full guide to me to take a look at with the preview button.....forgot who I messaged but I was able to have them deny my submission before it was posted. :P
