EuroServer Topics Please!

Hi, I'm playing on a European Server and would like to see these servers and topics related to them included. I've noticed that this is a problem on all DDO sites with forums.

I think that problem lies in the fact that our site is in US and we get very few Euro gamers to our site. We have some but they are few. I can add a Euro Server Forum to the site.

How many servers are there by chance? If there is less than 5 I can do individual but if more then I will make one unified forum.

RE: EuroServer Topics Please!

aww don't let a continent get in the way. :) As a lurker I wanna hear about what is going on with this game and will pass the word as it does come up from time to time at work and amongst my guildies. So I think and expansion is coming out for this game right? Ok Ok we can make it continent centric and you can be the beach master that brings the euro clans to these shores and over run the forums with eurocentric goodness. :) Actually I can say we lost a lot of guildmates in the EQ2 chaopter to this game and they all hailed from Scotland.
Anyhow I will say that if you take the time to write it here I will read it and probably give it some credibility if that inspires at all. Who knows you might even click on the link to the hidden treasure known as the eq2 arm of GameAmp. :)

RE: EuroServer Topics Please!

Hi Guys, the wierd thing is I'm actually in the US. I play with some old, old friends with whom I used to play real rpgs as a kid. But we all live on different continents now and this seemed like a cool way to hang out and relive old times. This is our first mmorpg and we are still on our first characters.

The reason I haven't replied is that I didn't know there were any reposts. They don't show up on my gameamp page, and I've given up posting because at least 75% of the time my posts just vanish. I just found out about your replies because I googled my game name, lol.

RE: EuroServer Topics Please!

You are a bit like me, but then the other way around and a different games. So not really like me then :) But I play City of Villains and Vanguard on US severs so that I can team up with US friends I have built up over the years. Timing can be tricky sometimes, but it is always great to 'see' them.

It is kind of weird what happened to your posts. I know the reply notification system and post history on the profile page are kind of disabled at the moment, but I had not heard of missing posts yet. I'll make sure 'the powers that be' will hear about it. But you can be sure that all posts get responses, and usually semi useful ones as well. I am glad you decided you google yourself!

Sorry you got confused there mate. The profiles page is a bit messed up right now due to some other issues going on with the site. If you look on the specific site you posted on you will see the replies though. Again sorry! :-D I will poke the devs about getting that fixed!

As for your strategy of staying in touch, that sounds like an awesome idea. I know I have lost touch of a lot of my friends I grew up with and if I could get them on an MMO or two I think it would be an awesome way to keep in touch. Its a great idea! They are all over the world as well so it is sometimes hard but we all have laptops. hmmm...yep definately a great idea. I love it!

RE: EuroServer Topics Please!

I just posted a reply and it vanished...just when I thought I had figured it out.

Thank you to all who have responded for the good data and encouragement. I thought I had figured out that if I preview my post and then post it, it would work fine. But this response that I am now retyping did not show..

The graphics u guys have are great, and creative. I wanted to give you the site address to my mini guild because I thought you would appreciate the tales and pics, but I don't know if that is a no no in the forums. Will wait for your response on that.

Thx again

There are 2 servers named "Keeper" and "Devourer". I guess there used to be more...But having read some of these repo's I don't know if it is really worth it. Thats not a dis or a neg. comment, just seems like I was getting the responses I needed anyway. But thanks for the offer and sorry it took me some time to realize what you were saying.

Hi Dru,

it works great. Especially with voice enabled. It's funny how the personal interactions just don't change. My two friends are always taking verbal swipes at eachother and even shooting at eachother with arrows or returning daggers. All in good humor of course. Totally useless in DDO but hysterically funny. I think it gets pretty entertaining for people questing with us, because they keep coming back, lol.

The timing can get tricky, and the exchange rate from USD to Euros is unfavoreable, but hey.....
