I've noticed most posts are at least a year old, is this place still alive? Seems like most of my posts just disappear anyway, so maybe others are having the same problem. There have been a lot of good posts, but they seem to be quite dated.

Welcome to Gameamp Paul, I would have to say the site isnt dead but more or less the game community is very dwindled.
The game which had some much hyped never really hit it as big as most had hoped so there are far less people playing. With that said the lack of players, results in lack of fansite participation. By no means am I degrading the game, I tried it out and really enjoyed the time on it, but didnt stick with it very long.
Our Devs worked very hard to put out one of the best DDO sites at time of release but like I stated there just hasnt been enough traffic from players to help keep this site up to par like WoW/GW for instance. I say its sad to see that happen because the game isnt as bad as most make it out to be. It just seemed like it never had the chance to be great. Not sure if thats from WoW just being so simple and people sticking with it...or what. And that isnt a knock on WoW either, its a simple game in the aspect its easy to learn to play. There are some very challenging aspects of WoW but overall its pretty simple, kill and loot.

But then again Paullan you already kicked off some posts here and I hear a new expansion is coming out for this game so feel free to talk about it and maybe the next person who stops by will see that this place is still being read and reacted to and decide to get some mommentum going. I find all of these sites suffer from ebs and tides and ramp up for awhile slow down then ramp up again. :)

Hi and Thx to all who responded. I guess the site is just napping :)! The game is okay, I have no point of reference, but hopefully the new modules will increase the popularity.
One question, why do my posts and responses not post sometimes?

To me, this might as well be dead...I just found this website and signed up, I keep hearing about how "great" this game is...when I have no idea how to even start playing.
What's the point in it living if you can't get in?

It seems like slowly but sure folks are making a difference on this part of GameAmp and the DDO section is waking up some. This area has a long a fairly good base of material for this game and I has some real potential. Now that you have the momentum going your way keep it up and I bet more lurkers will step out of the shadows.

First off, welcome to GameAmp. I think you are a bit confused about this site. This site, http://dndonline.gameamp.com is just a fan site for the actual game. By signing up here you don't get to play the game, you can just discuss it and look up info etc etc. If you really want to play it you need to buy it at the store of at online sites like ebgames.com or amazom.com. At the bottom left side of the screen is an actual "Buy DDO Now!" link.

Well, I'm trying, and I'm really glad to get a response. It does seem to be the same 4 people rpoing though, lol. I started checking this area out because of the good base of material that you mention. I liked the desrcriptions of the class, and quests. I might even try to get some quest deions in myself. Starting to add some newer maps. Not as pretty as some of the originals, but they have the quests listed and a view of the area. Will update as I can and will get better with their content. Don't want to give too much away...
