I decided the other day 2 quit GW again for the second time untill they release EON, seems as tho theres never anything 2do other then title farming which iv done enuf of. Would love 2 keep playing it but i hate pugs and a real guild that does dungeons several times aweek are unheard of unless they strictly farm which is boring.

Why not jion a PvE guild...or instead of farming just stik to the storyline and complete the game?

The Mutants [MU] are a high end European raiding guild. They don't just farm, and they do high end missions all the time. Plus they're good at it.

The whole grindingness gets boring, but just do something fun instead like an elite mission.
If u are really bored try get an elemental sword, it will keep you amused / annoyed for hours and hours and hours and hours.

iv completed all campaigns 4+times and i was in [MU] back about id say 7months ago, left them 2 make me own and only quit GW 2 play WoW lol. i quit wow after i hit 60 on there only 2 come back to GW again for afew months. also nice 2 see such enthusiasm :)

Actually, I had no idea where he was from, I said that mainly for myself. They'd be a great guild to join when I'm done with my lower level PvE stuff, but I doubt it would work too well.

And I will never play WoW. Monthly fees put me off it, I don't like that you have to pay in order to continue playing, and it's going to keep me from ever giving it a try. The only PtP game I would ever consider playing, most likely, is Eve, because that one just looks so ridiculously in depth it has to be worth it.

wow imo is worth the $$$, my only problem with it are raids, i find them horribly boring and chaotic. it sucks that 5man dungeons dont drop as good gear so i play wow solely for the pvp. as for [MU] i might be interested in it but just curious as to what times ya usualy do elites at?

I liked WoW from December up until this month and got my rogue to lvl 42 and ended up getting bored along with keylogged too many times (I upped security, dont delve into that). It's absurd that GW which is pay once has better security than WoW but that's not the case.
The fact of the matter is that I felt like I was grinding grinding grinding, waiting for that next level to get that new skill, or grinding going for the next weapon/piece of armor, etc. It was fun and it still would be but I detest repetition if it's not challenging (which is why I like the PvP in that game but then again I like GW's more). Also, gear was pretty much a deciding factor in WoW which is pretty meh. Weapons/armor helps in GW but not to the extreme extent it does in WoW.
Finally, I found that to be good in PvP or PvE, someone HAD to pretty much go down a certain skill tree which just should not be.

As a player on the American servers I feel your pain in the game. I get bored myself on occation, but I have a great guild which keeps things interesting some of the time, we have out months. If your heart is set on taking a break see you when EoN comes out but if your just looking for some fun you could always think of getting into a better guild. Guess this is the time to put in a plug for the guild. Fires of Wisdom (wise) is a 30+ guild. TS, website, full hall and all that stuff. Rules are very livable: No manditory farming, No swearing on TS, have fun.
Off topic as far as teh game getting stale it is my feeling the best thing GW did was create SF. I would even pay say $10-$20 for another add on area of that caliber. It came at a great time when people were getting tired.

I feel the term grinding is better used for games such as Wow (soz, just had to :P)
I get bored sometimes, got 6 chars through all 3 campaigns, I find its better to just take a break from time to time, surely there are other games u like?

i play euro servers anyways since i got sick of constant arguements with idiots on the american servers and also euro seems 2 suit my play times better. as for other games i play i normal play counter strike and GW but have recently picked up on wow again to cope with the missing 3-6hrs per day of GW lol

I never understood the whole arguing things in towns. I was farming Byzzr lightwing for elite tomes once for about 30-45 minutes. Evertime I came in these 2 idiots were arguing about whose guild was better, I mean seriously don't you have something better to do. I never bother arguing because its simpy a waste of time.
As for the getting bored part, with the ability to create competative characters at a decent pace (level 20 in a week or so of casual playing) there are a lot more option in GW then in WoW where getting a char to max level is a grinding feat and then getting the weapons and armor on top of that is even worse. Each game has its +/-'s, but GW has definatly kept me busy, just finished maxxing my LB and SS titles on my necro and even then I went to different places to farm (although the Supforous wastes soon became my favorite b/c of drops). If you are getting bored try another aspect of the game, or maybe create a new character. If thats not up your ally good luck with whatever you do and see you for GW:EN
