Ele Farm Spots

Hello gameamp. Well I sold my tormented shield some while ago and with that 550k I bought all these elite tomes for my ele so I could get him to farm places. But everywhere I go I can't seem to stay alive long enough. I've tried the stoneflesh tank, savannah heat farmer, terra tank and everything else on wiki, but I don't necessarily wanna farm UW. Can anyone tell me a good spot they farm with their ele and what build they use? Thanks.

RE: Ele Farm Spots

I use a version of the Terra Tank to farm Pongmei Valley, or more specifically, the Stone Scale Kirin. As you can see Here, the Kirin ocasionally drop Rubies and Saphires.

They have a relativey low drop rate; however, I've seen 3 Saphires and 1 Ruby in my many runs. The runs dont take long, snd there are other drops, I've seen 5 Golds so far, that you can usually sell to the Merchant for around 1k a run.

You can see the build I use Here

Attributes
Earth Magic 12
Energy Storage 10
Inspiration Magic 4

Then you need a Superior Earth Magic and a minor or major rune of Energy Storage.

Its pretty simple to use

Exit Mattu Keep and cast Earth Attunement

Upon nearing a mob cast Stoneflesh Aura and Channeling

Maintain the last 3 spells, they are your Protection and Energy Management.

Remember: Do NOT Agro the Dragon Moss, Island Guardians, or Rot Wallows.

When the Kirin come within range throw up Ward Against Melee

Wait for them to all group nicely around you

Cast Whirlwind, followed by Aftershock, this sometimes causes them to scatter, if they do then wait before you use the next skills.

Cast Teinai's Crystals then Shockwave

The Kirin should be either dead or near death, you can usually cast another Aftershock to kill the left-overs.

There are around 5 mobs of Kirin in Pongmei Valley that can be easily farmed. I try to agro as many mobs as I can before killing them to make the run go faster.

Hope this inspires you and everyone else to get out there and Ele Farm!

I made this build to solo Zelnehlun Fastfoot and his spiders in HM. I was thinking of writing a guide though, so sssshhh, I'm not telling my secret until someone convinces me not to write a guide and save gameamp from my hideous grammar.

RE: Ele Farm Spots

i like to farm the minotors in elona reach.

the build I use if i can remember it is

Fire - 12 + runes
water - 10 (I think)
Energy - whatevers left

fire attunment
Arcane Echo
mist form(E)
meteor shower
lava font
bed of coals
inferno
flame burst

I fine when entering elona reach its better to go to the left hand side when you first enter. then cast fire attunment and arcane then start to run to argo the mino's. just as there about to hit you cast Mist form(E)collect as many mino's as you can and start to run bk from where you came, then cast mist form again as it runs out (by this time you should be away form all the stray minos that come along later)
then simply cast the spells in the order they are in and you should be able to kill them all before they run. if you haven't killed them all the mist form should have recharged .
*breaths*

hope this helps, gd luck :)

RE: Ele Farm Spots

I came up with a build to farm the Undead in Gates of Kryta in Hard Mode using an E/D.

Here are the skills:

Earth Attunement
Aura of Restoration / Aftershock
Glyph of Lesser Energy
Mystic Regeneration
Armor of Earth
Stoneflesh Aura
Sliver Armor
Master of Magic (E)

I don't remember the attribute distribution right off the top of my head because I'm at work, lol. I'm pretty sure that Earth Magic is maxed with a Sup rune. Earth Prayers (Dervish) has enough points to give 3 pips for each enchantment from Mystic Regen, then the rest of the points in Energy Storage. I also use a Sup E-Storage rune and 3 Runes of Attunement on Geomancers Armor. The staff I use is an Adept Earth Staff of Enchanting with an "Aptitude not Attitude" inion. I crafted the staff in Elona and added the other upgrades. It cost me about 40k to craft the staff, but has paid for itself 10 times over. Having the right equipment will make any farming build easier to use. Spend the money....you WILL get it back eventually....and more.

Be careful when fighting groups with mesmers in them. If you see mesmers, don't target anything, let Sliver Armor do it's job. You'll also have to figure out your own way to pin the mesmers against the wall so they don't continually run from you. Most times they mesmers won't attack, they'll just cast spells on you....and if you get close to them, they take off running. It takes some practice to body block them, but once you get good at it, it's no problem.

As for the skills listed above, I'd recommend taking Aura of Restoration for your first few runs until you get used to the run and the enemies. After that, switch it out for Aftershock to speed it up a bit.

You can make this run as long or as short as you want. I kill all but 2 groups of undead before the little town where you get the bonus. Those 2 groups really aren't worth all the back tracking it takes to get to them. The boss near the beginning of the mission is easily taken out if you do it first. Drag as many monsters as you feel comfortable with to the boss, then use them to trigger Sliver Armor to take the boss out faster. If the boss is a ranger, skip it....he WILL kill you. Necro, Warrior, Mesmer and Monk bosses are no problem. The ranger will put Dazed on you, then you're done.

On average, I've been getting between 2 and 6 gold items on each run. I'm sure your experiences will vary and this is not a guarantee. I don't overfarm the area...maybe 2-3 times every couple of nights, then I go do other stuff. There are also usually a couple of chests along the way, so make sure to bring your Lockpicks.

Four quick notes: 1. You will be farming inside the Gates of Kryta mission in Hard Mode. 2. The undead that I farm are behind the little house by Oink the pig. 3. Make sure to kill the first two groups of Undead at the very beginning of the mission, otherwise there will be a ton of monsters that don't trigger and you can really kill something that doesn't attack you. 4. Make sure to take a full team of henchmen and flag plant them at the very beginning of the mission. You don't need them to fight, but if you die, you could bring them to rez you and supposedly they help with the drops, lol.

Good Luck and Happy Farming!!!

- Shadow of Haste
- Death's Charge
- Dash
- meteor shower
- bed of coals
- flame burst
- inferno

fire: 15

RE: Ele Farm Spots

Hydras outside Augury Rock in HM.

Earth: 16
Energy Storage: 11
Inspiration: 8

Aura of Restoration
Earth Attunement
Channeling
Obsidian Flesh
Stone Flesh Aura
Kinetic Armor
Sliver Armor
Stone DaggersS

Before aggro, cast all your defensive enchants. Use Sliver armor as often as it recharges. Spam Stone Daggers to your hearts content, you will never run low on energy as long as Channeling is up. Pick up loot. :)

Edit: Maintain your enchantments. Use a staff with a 20% longer enchantments wrapping. There is a 5 second lapse on Obsidian Armor, just make sure the don't meteor you when you renew it.

RE: Ele Farm Spots

The E/A build is great for not only tombs but boss farming. I use this

Shadow form
Deaths Charge
Dash (to break aggro)
Glyph of elemental power (makes the difference in HM a lot)
Sliver armor
Obsiedian Fame
Tenia's crystls
Crystal Wave

Basically cast Shadow Form, Dash, Death charge (quickly gets you to the boss), Glyph, sliver, Obsiedian, tenia's, wave, Obsiedian again. Once the boss dies recast Shadow form pick up loot and run away break aggro using dash.

Not origional or anything but very effective. I use it a lot right outside of the Dajkah inlet in Sunawards marches (ele boss, mesmer boss, and warrior boss)
