I helped you by putting your post under the Freedom header, that way our Freedom folks can find you a little easier.
Yeah, what I would recommend is posting here (which you did already) and going to Mercy Isle. If you can't find a VG in Mercy, then something is terribly wrong. They broadcast all day long there for the new toons to join (fresh out of the Tutorial and can maximize thier prestige gain).
If that doesn't work, then I would still go to Mercy and broadcast that you're looking for a VG. However, I would wait to hear back from this site, as you'll know a little something about the VG members.

Or you could join my SG. Odin's Lance is always looking for new recruits. We've been around since launch pretty much and were up in the top 100 for a long while. We're in a bit of a slump right now, but we just upgraded the base plot (finally) and we're hoping to make a comeback soon. So, if you're interested, send an E-Mail to @Mzzkc and I'll hook you up with an invite ASAP.
