Hi, I need some help, because like many many many people, I am trying to achieve the Legendary Defender of Ascalon title.
I understand how to get the experience from the charr runs, death leveling, ect. Its just that I'm having trouble with what I think should be one of the easier parts: Charr Hunting!
My Monk is currently level 9, I spent some time leveling on Oakhearts, and I've been using Genesis Dragon's Guide, Here, like a bible. I have tried charr hunting several times and even with a friend who is lvl 11, we still get slaughtered.
I may be doing this wrong, perhaps I should be sticking to Oakhearts for that 38xp each, but either way, any help is greatly appreciated.

You have to be very patient. By lvl 9, I think I started soloing the char so I could get more XP. Just go to a group and kill one at all costs...then you'll die, and go back for another. Takes time, but that's how I use to do it.
Shamans first, hunters, chaots, ash, axe, sword.

Heya. im trying for that as well. got a lvl 15 Mesmer atm.
have you done the Charr at the Gate quest given by Prince Rurik yet. Doing the quest, mapping back to town, abandoning, and taking the quest again can level you up for some time. Till about lvl 11 or 12 i easily (if i remember correctly).
By then you'll easily be strong enough to solo some of the smaller groups of charr.
Spawning is also a bit random and a bonus. Groups without shamans are obviously easier.
If you need a hand, whisper me in game and i'll give you a hand until you can do it by yourself.

be so good if hard mode was in pre then plenty of exp =p
