Ok,Ok, ive recently quit WOW, and are moving onto COH/COV, but im gonna 150% go onto this game on release, i just need bits of information from you guys!! yay wooo yay.
1st-what would you say is the system req. for this game?
2nd-ive never played any warhammer game, is the story fun and exciting, much like a day out to safari park, but when the lions/monkeys have escaped and are on LSD. Ok maybe not the last part, but the first part still stands :D
3rdwoop woop-release date?
4th and last question YEEEHAWWWWWWW-How many of you will be playing?

Anyway lets see what I can answer for you,
1: System requirements arent out yet really but I would say a core 2 duo atleast 1.86 gig, 1 gig of ram and a 512mb graphics card, atleast a Nvidea 7300 LE or equivelent. I would also suggest cable, DSL or T1 connection speed for it like any MMO. If you can run wow you would probably be okay here, official system specs arent out yet.
2: this wont be like wow RP story wise, this all about Player vs. Player. I have posted some videos but I will be posting more shortly about gameplay.
Based on Games Workshop's popular Warhammer fantasy world. Dominated by force of arms and magic, this world provides a rich setting for hundreds of thousands of players to experience the epic nature of war and the glory of battle.
Join one of Six Armiesand fight for the Armies of Order (Dwarf, High Elf and Empire) or the Armies of Destruction (Greenskin, Dark Elf, or Chaos). Wage war across three unique battlefronts. Check out the Classes here.
Next generation Realm vs. Realm game system integrating both PvP combat and PvE quests on the same Map in support of the greater war.
Engage in four levels of RvR combat: - Skirmishes: Incidental PvP combat
- Battlefields: Objective-based battles in the game world
- Scenarios: Instanced, point-based battles balanced with NPC Dogs of War
- Campaigns: The invasion of enemy lands culminating in the assault on their capital city
Undertake a wide variety of PvE quest types related to an army's war efforts, including: - Public quests that benefit from the participation of the entire army
- Conflict quests that pit players against an enemy with opposing goals
- Branching quests that let you choose the outcome of the quest and your reward
- Xmas quests that reward exploration with high value loot
A robust combat system introduces Player Tactics (earned powers you equip prior to battle) and Morale Skills (combat options that increase in power when the momentum of battle is in your favor).
Player models that change to reflect the relative power of a character (i.e., Orcs grow in size and Dwarfs' beards get longer). Customizable armor and a visual guild system allow a player to make their character truly unique.
Embark on an epic quest to complete the Tome of Knowledge and unlock Warhammer lore, detailed monster information, and major story plotlines.
3: No official release date, but I am guessing probably around end of January of 2008.
4: How many players? Except this game to be HUGE! There is a huge buzz and there hasnt even been much marketing done for it. I know a ton of people that will be leaving wow for it, and I know a ton of other people that will be playing it that have previously left other MMOs. I can probably name atleast 50 people off the top of my head that will be buying it. I also know there are many people watching this site and other sites closely for any information out there on the game as that EA Mythic has been tight lipped about many things until recently. So I imagine they will break 1 million subscribers in the first month easily at release.

Love you dru, thanks for the in-depth answer, i surely will be getting this game seeing as A. i can run it and B. their will be a fun, cultural community.
Hope the battles are as huge as they say, warhammer online;maybe the best ever MMO?

Its looking like it might overtake WoW...who knows its about 6 months off but its possible. Warhammer and Warhammer 40K were and still are HUGE board(?) games that people play for days on end, to play them live is very exciting for a lot of people out there.
No one knows what the future will bring but I predict this will give WoW a run for its money definately.

As always, i agree. My friend used to be a HUGE warhammer fan, had 85% of the games, most of the board games (including little addons for em) and the figures, It took him 3 hours for him to explain the whole back story of warhammer, i still dont understand it <:)
However, even if this game doesnt outsell/have as many players as WOW, the community will more than likely be tight, and making friends will be easy, because of how much people will be watching each others back in the PVP (RVR) areas.
I wish they could make global servers on this game, speaking to you guys over in America etc. would be cool, instead of speaking to my good ol' european friends :D
BTW-if anyone is from EU and getting warhammer online please please please post here, i would LOVE! to make a friendship and talk about warhammer online :D

lol, your right, it has been around forever and I would hope by now they would hae a good story!
And R-H, about the community I imagine it will be an older more mature community as the game will more likely be 18 and older in the US rating because fo the violence. (just speculation of course)

I do indeed hopes its mature, i really cant deal with people screaming crap at me, even the adults in some MMO's arent on decent behaviour, they moan about young gamers and call us moaners, when their the ones wasting time moaning.
However, i hope it doesnt have a community like a small majority of communitys in some MMO's *cough* WOW *cough*

the only problem you might have with the maturity of players is that soo many kids already play the game witht he models and they might just get dragged in. Like if pokemon was an mmo it would rule, but to many kids would play it.

I have an older brother whos 27 and my bestfriend whos 28 who both play Pokemon...they have been talking about how their should be a pokemon MMO for years now....lol

hey i just applied for beta and i got a question. when this comes out, we gonna have to pay monthly for this? mom said she ain't paying for another game a month if i won't be playing it as much :d
