Evil Geek stepping down

Just to let you all know that very soon you will have a new Site Manager, mriswith has very kindly (and some may say stupidly :p) agreed to take over my position, his continued high presence in the forums and good judgement make him the ideal candidate IMO.

I have found I have been able to commit less and less time to the forums as time has moved on, coupled with my need to devote more time to sorting my RL out (what is this Real Life thing that keeps getting in the way of fun!) I feel it is high time I stepped down both as Site Manager and Staff.

I've witnessed alot of changes in the community during my time as SM, I inherited a great site from my predecessor lani and recieved an immense amount of support from all the staff I have had the pleasure of working with, a big Thankyou! to all of you, an extra special thanks got to thejeni for her support and being my 'muse'.

The community has continued to grow into something special, friendly and helpful, something I have and will continue to be proud to be a part of. The forums are nothing without the community so a big thankyou to all of you is definately in order for making guildwars@gameamp the place that it is.

I fully intend to carry on being a part of the community and staying involved as a member, just without the responsibility that being staff entails.

sorry to see you go, but you did a great job as Site manager

and RL remains more important then GW in my opinion

so i think you made the right choice

Its been a brilliant experience working as staff with you EG and hope Mriswith can control most of us just aswell as you did.

Don't worry tho...it's not as bad as they make out, I've even had a few days free to come back and play!

It's a responsible task which will ask a lot of devotion and leadership.. I'm sure you'll do it great!!

I thought i sensed a shift in the force, but this is something else :P

EG was a great admin and the very persona that is guildwars.gameamp. People come and go, legacies and triumphs are resounded through history ^_^

Gratz to Maya for the promo *sees EG's belongings been thrown out the window* but just remember that with great power comes bigger nuisances /pokepokepokepokepoke

I think EG deserves some enormous cheer and a pressie, but what to give? hmmmmm....

You did a great job as site manager, Geek, you'll be missed. Or maybe not, since you'll still be around. Perhaps what I mean is that the excellent work you did will be missed. Though that would imply that Maya is not going to do excellent work. Hmm, I'm not really sure what I mean, but now you can come back to AMP, right? *bambi eyes*

Farewell EG! Thanks for taking care of this wonderful community for so long. You have done a brilliant job keeping the greatest community on the net alive and kicking for all this time. I am sure your grandchildren will be thrilled to hear one day all about your adventures in the dungeons of GameAmp.

And good luck to Mriswith! It will be tough to follow in EG's footsteps but what would be the fun of it if it would all be easy. That would be like PL-ing :)
