Fire/Energy Unstoppable damage 

Hi everyone i was just playing my fire/energy blaster last night and my damage out put was unreal i was taking down AV by myself and just a tank to hold agro, I feel that in many ways fire for the blaster set it extremely high and perhaps there need to be changes done to this set to make it fair, cause who really is going to pick any other blaster type when fire is unmatched in damage. Cause am sure everyone has been on a team where people will kick another blaster to make room for a damaging fire blaster cause with there powerful aoe's is there any thing that can beat this.


Please leave your comments on this build as well as any suggestions for nerfing the build to make it more fair to the other blaster types.

I personally have never been on a team where they have kicked someone off just to get a different type of hero on. I agree Fire does have high Damage (and AoE), but I believe a good team can have many different options. As long as the teammates know how to play the strengths of the entire group, they can take down about anyone.

Personally, I enjoy the Energy/Energy Blaster to the Fire blaster (but that is just because of my style of play).

I am glad you found a set you can enjoy playing. It makes the game really fun when you are playing a hero that you love to play. I say "Build up his back story and play him to 50".

I have a Fire/Energy as well. Before I knew it was a cookie cutter Blaster I just looked at the set and figured they would be good together. I was not mistaken.

No one needs to change Fire. Fire/Energy is strictly a DPS combo with no decent crowd control or secondary unique attributes at all. Mostly just raw power and DoT. That raw AoE power also makes you a heavy aggro magnet, so survivability in groups is dependent upon other players like Tanks and Healer to do their job, where my Electrical build is more self sufficient. I draw too much aggro, I can stop a good portion of it myself from range.

I never heard someone have so much fun on a character that they thought they should be nerfed. No need to suggest it bro, the devs will get around to it on their own without your prodding. If it's warranted.

My main is a Fire/Devices Blaster and I feel that the fire build should not be nerfed. Sure Fire does loads of damage but then again Fire gets a late snipe and other builds have advantages and disavantages. Also I am yet to see any group kick another blaster to make room for a fire blaster. Archery has longer range than most other blasters. So thats my opinion.

Fire is equal to Ice Blast on the BI. They will not be nerfed in damage, because the high damage is evened out by high end rates.

I've been playing a fire/ice blaster. Personally, I don't think they need to drop the damage on fire. It's DoT seems to even out the damage output versus energy or ice (both with smashing bonuses).

Yes, fire/eng IS a huge damage dealer, but Eng is basically a damage set. with a fire/eng you're forgoing any and all defense and just hitting straight damage. Energy hasn't got any crowd control (compair to ice and electricity which actually does offer some pretty nice benifits in their crowd conrtol, and devices which offer some nice buff/stealth).

Energy just gives you flat out knock them down attacks and personal boosts.

fire dose attract alot of agro, it can kill you as fast as you kill with it. in any case its dammage output is not as far above the others as you make it out to be.
