Ok...much to Grifter's dismay, I'm starting LotRO today. :)
What I'm wondering is, what's the resident "Official" server I should create on so I can be with my fellow Ampers?

Techinically we dont have one....dont think that many ampers play or speak up enough to decide on one. At the moment I play on Brandywine. As far as I know we have a couple Ampers already there.
Jerrik from CoH is there....and I believe we have a few others. I think. If you do choose Brandywine....I am Blackhawken....(gasp)....go figure huh.
Great to hear your playing...hope you like it as much as I do. And well the rest of us.

I'm not sure what I think of it so far. I did the intro quests, which were ok. The combat system is a little weird. I ended up on one of the recommended servers, because Brandywine had a queue to get in...and considering it was 8am Eastern time, having a queue at this hour made me wary of how it would be in the evening.

Whats strange is the queue is only a few people over the threshold and I generally wait maybe a minute to get in. I dont think its going to get any better now that schools are getting out. But so far its ok.
But none less, great to have you playing. Every game to me is weird starting out. As you know...going from CoH to WoW was like...what in the world. Same for this, it took me just a bit to get used to but once I got acclimated I was fine.
So what did you make? And all that good stuff.

Coe(Clan Of Elders) went to Nimrodel and seldom have a wait time to log in. We moved from Silverlode and Brandywine.

That must be a Euro server....I need to get a list of those and make a Euro Forum for our over the sea posters!

Thanks, I currently play as a human captain. Had to go with something simple in the start... Also, I would love to help out a bit here on the site (it seems fairly new and not "so" active compared to the gw amp site), so I guess could write down those server names for you a bit later >_>

Thats great to hear, love to see members contribute to the site. That is what Gameamp is all about...participation by all. Anytime you want to help or have an idea let me know.
And yeah get me those server names and then I will create a forum for Euro and then include the names under the title.

Well I don't have LOTRO yet and it'll probably be a while, but I do plan to get it. I'm used to City of Heroes so this is probably gonna suck eggs getting used to.
I'm aiming for a sever that isn't constantly full but does have a lot of members so I'm not the only person getting his butt chewed off by NPCs. Know of any servers like that? :)

Well, first off all, are you EU or AM?
For the EU servers atleast, I don't think that you will experience much problem, none of the servers are very crowded yet really. I play on the Evernight server, but that's only because it was listed first >_>

Anyone know of a list of the servers? You were talking about that earlier and a list of them would be great :)

Click on the button to left on this site called "forum" There is a server list found there. (the EU's one haven't been added yet).
