Questions About Recipe Enhs Set Bonuses For Khelds

For Recipe Enhancements Sets you get a Set Bonus but how does it apply to a Tri-Form or Dual-Form Kheld?

A. Do the Recipe Enhancement Set Bonuses apply only to the Human form of a Kheld no matter where slotted?

B. Do they apply to all forms of a Kheld no matter where slotted?

C. If I slot a Set in a specific form does the Set and Set Bonus only apply to that Form?

I am going to respec and want to make sure I slot things correctly.

Don’t have a Kheld yet so can’t say for sure but do have an idea how you can test it. Go over to the test server and find a cheap set that has an HP increase bonus. I chose that one since its easy to do a before and after comparison. Check you max hit points in all three forms, before and after you slot the set and see if there is a difference. If so you could assume the other set bonuses would carry over as well.

I will make a semi-educated guess here and say that the sets only apply to the Human Form if they are slotted in Human Form powers. If you slot them in the Nova Form Powers, they'll affect Nova Form, and so forth.

My basis for this is that if you have Swift, the speed increase doesn't affect the speed of your Nova Form flight. So since it only affects human form, anything slotted in it would only affect human form.

I don't think thats totally true, Ron. I think the set bonuses apply to you at all times, at least that is how it is with other ATs. I have vengence 6 slotted with a set and I hardly ever use it, but I always get that bonus. I think it would be the same way with Khleds, but I havent seen any mention of it either way.

I'm going with Ron on this one. It seems like he's basically got the idea down. The only powers that are in effect when in Nova or Dwarf form are those given with Nova or Dwarf form. Therefore, I believe this supports the theory of only being effected by set bonuses in Nova or Dwarf form that are from sets slotted in your Nova or Dwarf form powers.

But I could be wrong.

Short version: Currently the set bonuses ARE applying to all Kheld forms, however, this is NOT intended. So we're both right. :)

Ultimately, the set bonus will probably go into each specific form, but for the time being, it's cross-form. However, as was mentioned in the thread, if they keep it "broken" that might actually make the Kheldians a truely Epic AT, like they should be. We'll see.

Kool thank you all, now I feel better in my slot choice after my respec :D

It leads to a new question then...

If the Sets are broken up, then theorticaly Kheldians should be able to have 3 of the same set with one set on each form aka (AT).

Currently it's one of each per AT -no duplicates, but Tri-Form are 3 different ATs in one, one forms powers are unconnected to another forms powers, in effect 3 seperate ATs in the one AT that your able to switch between at will.

Allowing you to have 3 of the Same set on one AT.

Actually, you can slot the same set more than once on a character. But you can only have one of the Unique IOs per character. An example of this is Numina's Convalescence. You can have the Numina's Convalescence set slotted in all the possible powers that will accept it, but you can only have one of the +Regen +Recovery unique enhancements.

On my Illusion/Storm, I've got Sovereign Right slotted on PA, Phantasm, and Tornado. But only Phantasm has the unique +RES All (Except Psi) enhancement.

Several sets have Uniques. Sovereign Right, Numina's, Luck of the Gambler, Aegis, Celerity, Unbounded, Freebird, Time and Space Manipulation for example. The various +Stealth travel power IOs are set so you can only have one +Stealth IO in the whole build. So those of you with more than one travel power can't stack the +Stealth.

BTW, +Stealth in the travel powers is great. I have the Celerity set on my Ill/Storm and I can run without Superior Invisibility if I'm in an End crunch cause the +Stealth from Celerity with the inherent stealth from Superspeed make me hella stealthy. I need to get Freebird for the Storm/Elec.

I am a IO set freak with my level 39 all human Peacebringer. I have currently slotted:

Smashing Haymaker (Full Set)
Crushing Impact (Full Set)
Cleaving Blow (Full Set)
Ruin (Full Set)
Maelstroms Fury (Full Set)
Air Burst (Full Set)
Freebird (2 of 3, working on last one)
Brilliant Leadership (2 out of 6)
Harmonized Healing (Full Set)
Reactive Armor (3 out of 6)
Quickfoot (1 of 3)

I try and focus on those sets that will give good benefit as well as great set bonuses. I love the fact that you cannot "out-level" the IO's, and it means I can really focus on developing all aspects of the character. Additionally the set bonuses like increased regeneration (such as Brilliant Leadership - two enhancements improves your Regeneration by 4%. I slotted two in my Photon Seekers, Nasty lil beasties) those percentages and perks add up! These are above and beyond the +accuracy or +damage the individual IO's give! To quote Princess Bride "It's inconcievable!"
