Trick, lots of symbols appear multiple times, making it quite easy to get a chance that he gets a symbol of the digit you got.

Out of 3 times i tried it; the program got it right 1 out of 3 times; its based on chancecalculation and statistics. Nothing special about it imho :)

When you calculate a number that way, as the example 23= 2+3= 5. 23-5=18, let's call it "X calculation"
Now if you watch closly you will see every ninth number has same symbol (0,9,18 and so on).
So any numbers you calculate in the "X calculation way" will be something in the multiplication table of number 9, which all has same symbols, problem solved
There are not and will never be anything called magic in real xD, only illusions and tricks

Maybe you think in the pattern as the system exactly does ;)

all the symbols are the same...
v good trick tho, took me ages to work it out when i first saw it

Yeah, He's right, I figured it out in 30 seconds.
Those numbers always have the same symbol, and everythime you go back to retry, the symbol changes to make you think you have something new it can guess.
EDIT: And those numbers are the only numbers you can get out of every 2 digit number you can think of.

Yea this was a great trick. In fact I hadn't solved it until recently. I had noticed several symbols were always the same, and for a specific number. Like said above, 0, 9, 18, etc, always have the same symbol.

Yeah, Maya, I'm pretty sure this thing can't get it wrong, so you must have made a math error if it did.

lol it can't be wrong
if it is wrong you made a math error :)
here is the the formula:
xy - y - x = 9x
whereas xy being one number containing out of two digits
example:
69 - 9 - 6 = 9*6 = 54
68 - 8 - 6 = 9*6 = 54
23 - 3 - 2 = 9*2 = 18
every answer is 9*x and so every multiple of 9 has the same symbol (9,18,27 etc.)
i hope i explained it right :) cuz i am still dutch and suck at english ^^
plz clickzors, i need t3h viewz !
