I have been told in hard mode mission which are timed the master time limit was extended. Can anyone confirm this and if true let me know where I can find the new time limits?

This is indeed true. The extended times can be found on the mission page on guildwiki. It shows separate times for normal mode and hard mode when you look up a mission.
