Ok so im a 'noob' in this area....
Before i get a Google It answer i want you to know i looked around but still dont know much ><
Question 1
Where do you get ones that you can download safely?
Question 2
Does it change how my computer runs?
Links etc would be helpful :)

As for actual Windows Themes, I have yet to find any to just install and go.
I do however like two downloaded programs that can have great results. WindowBlinds and DesktopX are two good programs, with some great skins aswell.
litestep and another great program, but I wouldn't suggest it for beginners.
As for how it will effect your computer. litestep will completely change it. WB and DX is only a program, and only effects the skins.

you can download them from deviantart.com and you might need ux theme patcher to do it but its pretty easy
