Linksys router problem

the other day i purchased a linksys router to replace my belkin one that had decided to blow up. the new router was working fine until i got on the computer today. it resets the connection and i get the message "a network cable is unplugged" about every 10 - 15 minutes. i have updated the firmware so that is not an issue unless it didnt go in properly. i chatted with one of their assistants online but the instructions i were given didnt help out at all. i turn to you techno geeks out there in cyber space for help before i have to resort to calling linksys for tech support.

RE: Linksys router problem

Hmmm.. This is a really odd problem.. I have 2 linksys, one for my computer, and another for my PS2. At least over a year each, but this problem has never occured on either. The only problem i have with one, with my PS2 actually, If it has any problems, i just have to reset it. But, I have a strong feeling this wont help you..

Thought, why dont you try out the site? The do have technical support, so hopefully it can help ^_^

RE: Linksys router problem

Last time that happened to me, replacing the router worked fine....but the one that was giving me problems was at least 5 years old, so I cant say for sure whats wrong with yours.

But, I can say, as big as Linksys is, I hate their routers, even following the manuals and having years of experience in computers and networking, I couldn't get a linksys we had to forward ports.

EDIT: Sorry I cant really help, but the last time I had a similar problem, the router was going out.
