Intimidating Aura
Enchantment Spell. For 60 seconds, if you strike a foe who has less Health than you, that foe loses 1 Enchantment and Intimidating Aura ends.
Strike
v.tr.
1.
a. To hit sharply, as with the hand, the fist, or a weapon.
b. To inflict (a blow).
2. To penetrate or pierce: was struck in the leg by a bullet.
Shadow Form
Elite Enchantment Spell. For 5..17..20 seconds, all hostile Spells that target you fail and all attacks against you miss. When Shadow Form ends, lose all but 5..41..50 Health.
Am I the only one thinking something's wrong there?

So the enemy Intimidating aura is stripping your shadow form? That's weird, you'd think they'd have to actually hit you for that to work. Poorly worded skills FTL.
Consider sending a ticket to ANET about it, they might not have intended it to work like that.

Makes no sense, I don't see how it can work, in shadow form u cannot be hit at all, therefore that attack wouldn't work...

Ok looks like a very specific situation:
Enemy Dervish uses Intimidating Aura, attacks one my allies, adjacent to me, using Chilling Victory... I'm struck with cold damage and that strips SF... Yet I don't quite understand why the damage of Chilling Victory is applied AFTER SF is stripped.

It should strip SF since a strike is the action of the attack, it doesnt mean you hit, but the intention is to hit.
But you just attemtp to hit, you strike.
Hope I make any sense o.o

Just for reference; chillblains has always been able to strip shadowform >.> so that SF can be stripped is nothing new ^^

I think Intimidating Aura can trigger off of the additional AoE cold damage of Chilling Victory, which is why it can remove Shadow Form. The additional cold damage is applied as long as the user of Chilling Victory has more health, regardless of hit, miss, or block. I believe Wiki says that CV is bugged because the additional damage should have two criteria to trigger, but currently it only needs the the >HP one instead of on hit and >HP
Chilling Victory:If it hits, this attack strikes for +5...17 damage. Whenever it hits a foe who has less Health than you, target foe and all adjacent foes are struck for 15...51 cold damage.

Ok yep, forgot that Chilling Victory was considered AoE then... if they hit an adjacent ally, I take the AoE from CV + it strips.

Ditto on bug, though if they hit an adjacent ally of mine it will trigger, and if I'm the only one with an enchantment then, Intimidating Aura will strip it... and counts as PBAoE: thus goes through SF

errr... intimidating aura always ends when it hits a foe with less health with or without and enchanment on that foe. so if you did get the AoE from chilling victory that must have meant that the dude next to you had less health than the dervish using chilling victory and thus triggered intimidating aura before it could remove your shadow form, and so i think it was the cold dmg from chilling victory that killed you instead of enchantment stripping.
i hope i made myself clear...

Both actually... That's what is still bugging me, the AoE damage from CV got counted AFTER the stripping. And was the death blow.

No its not, Chilling Victory's conditional dmg always deals dmg. Idk why but it does.
If u found this out by farming the deathbringer take fiegned and thet will get stripped not SF.
