"encanged netcode" remove !! whyyyyyyyyyyyy

why you guys have removed the "encanged netcode"????
it was the onlyst thing with that it was half possible to play for me vs heavy players becouse my 50 meter lan fucks my line in as :(

it is coming back (wen you have changed somthing) or its down forever ????

What was the reasoning behind taking off the enhanced net code? Yes, it had issues. But that's why they call it betas. Even finished projects are never really finished, even the "geniuses" (using that loosely) at microsoft have some serious bugs in winXP. Will it come back in later versions? :(

Keep in mind it was removed from this beta. That doesn't mean that work is not being done with it in private.

I'd say all the whining/bashing that was said in ESReality was the reason. I certainly hope that Lotus keeps working on it, whether or not it is truly effective in the end.

I'm sure those with low ping will keep crying no matter what. This is the same reason they only play on servers they ping low to even if the other team is going to get raped... there is no way around that.

On the other hand I think the players with high ping are a bit to eager to see this pushed before it's ready.

i guess it sounds like the zeroping feel made it easier to hit than on lan...perhaps lotus will try just improving the netcode without using the zeroping.

maybe pick a spot from client and server, and average the two to 'halve' pings...and at the same time allow something to increase pings like what he used in that OLB 1v1 match w/dp. if a tourney required the latter in case of huge avg. ping differences then that'd work a lot better.

the problem is that they most players are now realy angry becouse they lost vs players who they raped bevore only and not takt over there skill it was only raping thats the problem and i think with new netcode the "pros" are not so "pro" vs the other then normaly only they or a smal range of people has realy good connection over internet ... i say to this guys who has said it fucks off its only becouse they could not do there ping rape as before. but with this netcode i thinkg the fairnes is mutch mor fair for all

you should have seen combatcarl on our server with an 85 ping the other day, he must have hit like 75% lg and shock. the good players will rape more with zeroping. i'm kinda glad its gone now, maybe that ping will slow him down :D

The problem is when we get into the highest levels of competition, which are always on a LAN. If you spend 99% of your practice time leading your shots it makes it that much more difficult to adjust to a LAN for competition. It may seem like just re-timing your shots, but really there's some things you just can't do online that are possible on a LAN. It just changes your playing style and can even alter strats to a degree.

i guess keep this mutator around and use it when practicing for lan tournaments. it'd be handy.

Heh well my point was this: if you play with 100 ping all the time, you get used to taking certain shots. It's not even about timing, it's about how you move, what shots you even consider taking. When you get onto a lan it's completely different. There's shots you can make without even thinking that are completely impossible with 100 ping. So the problem is more than just re-timing your shots; on a LAN you almost have to re-think your playing style.

Imagine 100 ping online vs 45. You have to be a lot more defensive, trying to hit more anticipation and defensive shots, because you aren't going to out-mini or link them, and they even have the advantage with hitscan too. But on a LAN you're on equal footing, so you have to reconsider. You can be more aggressive than you were online.

one thing that i sai every time the ping sais nothing i have ping 32 and my ut lags as holy i play on pc of frind bader pc of mine :D my one is highend no performace droops.. but i play on this pc with only 30 fps and ping 80 better then on mine with 80 (online) or 400 (not online :D) that sucks or not ??? becouse of this i love this mut i could play also on my pc as on hims i hope in final its back

well, i deciphered what you said, i think. if you have higher ping at your house, it is because of your connection. not the pc being higher end. a better ram, vid card, and harddrive might can shave a few milliseconds off because of faster access time. but not much. and yes, i hope they bring it back too :( try playing with 180 ping. and before everybody says "get cable or dsl" it's not available in my area. we've harassed cable company for 3 years now to no avail, and we live too far out for DSL.
