55hp HM farming, bergen

Hi all

I have a 105hp monk and i want to ask if it is possible to farm with 105hp near bergen hot springs in HM.
If so can someone tell me the build please

I don't know about 105hp, but I know you can 55 it real easy. I just started doing this a little while ago, it's fun with a pretty good money intake, and I got 7 golds in like 5 runs. The build I used was this:

Mo/D

Protective Spirit
Mystic Regeneration
Shield of Absorption
Shield of Judgement
Essence Bond
Balthazar's Spirit
Blessed Aura
Signet of Mystic Wrath

It works great, very fast, since they're all undead, and you rarely get more than 3 melee foes on you at once, so they all just attack until they're dead. I was able to kill pretty much all the undead in that region, including groups with monks and mesmers. I didn't try, but I'd imagine you might be able to go into Cursed Lands too.

Yep, standard Mo/D seems to work fine:

Protective Spirit
Mystic Regen
Shield Hands
Shield of Absorption
Shield of Judgement
Balth Spirit
Essence Bond
Blessed Aura

12+3 Smite, 8 Earth - rest is up to you.

That's how I run that build anyway. Sometimes people like to run a few different skills in there like blessed signet, scourge healing, etc for more specific groups.

Edit: Brynden you beat me to it! Hmm SoMW, hadn't thought of using that in a 55build, you getting the full 200 damage off that?

I suggest taking Holy Strike since it got more damage + faster recharge than SOMW.

Cursed Lands is really easy ^^Vanquished it with my 55.

i got best run ever early, 3 Gold Dead Bows, 1 Purp Dead Bow, 1 Lockpick bad bows but some good mods should get me 15-30k :)

Yeah, you get the full damage from SoMW, it helps against the monks and mesmers, since they don't like to attack as much. I hadn't thought to bring a different smiting skill, that might work better. Holy Strike or Spear of Light might work pretty well, I'll give it a try soon as I get my computer down here.

oh thank god, this just made my day. i just got back online and i wasnt sure if anything like the old builds even existed anymore

Yep. Shield of Judgement to 53 holy damage per hit at 16 smiting prayers. Undead take double damage from holy damage.
53x2=106

That's why it's so easy to kill them :D

SoMW, as already mentioned, is Signet of Mystic Wrath.

Enchantments: Cast your maintained enchantments (balth spirit, essence bond, blessed aura - order doesn't matter) one at a time, leaving a short gap between each one to allow a little energy regen. Once your maintained enchants are up you are ready to engage a mob. Engage and cast Prot spirit, followed by Mystic Regen. If there's any degen, or a large mob, consider using either of the damage reduction spells to reduce all damage to 0. Once you are comfortable that they're not going to kill you and you are maintaining a good aggro you can cast Shield of Judgement. If in Hard Mode, use a wand or spear to attack any mellee enemies which run away when they get low on health, this will pull them back to the fight and get them dead faster. gl :)

About the armor, runes, and weapons, yes, this is just the standard 55 build with Mystic Regen instead of healing breeze, which works oh so much better, faster cast with significantly longer duration and significantly more regen.

Also:

QUOTE

I highly recommend you do that in the reverse order, cast prot spirit and mystic regen, THEN engage. Otherwise, you die in one hit.

I doubt this farm will be worth it for much longer. A pefect version of the best items that drop here sell for about 25 or below and dropping rapidly.

I would tell you guys about the new E/D farming build I came up for vermin farming(it has ALOT of rare golds that sell for a bit in it)but well...not yet...not till I get my perfect item...

When you get comfortable with the build you will learn the timings for yourself. I have personally played hundreds of hours of 55 doing UW runs mainly but a lot of other grind farms with the Mo/D. I aggro, then I cast PS, then I cast mystic, that's how I do it. Fair enough if you're new cast PS first, but once you've got the hang of it, it's very easy to know when something is about t hit you, and how long you have to cast it. Bear in mind you can walk up to a mellee monster, wait for him to start attacking, and then cast PS if you're feeling particularly cocky, as PS is o.25 cast time, and their attack is longer. Unless they have interupts, in which case you might be getting ahead of yourself.

Anyways, yea, you're right that whilst getting used to the build pre-cast it before. But once your proficient with it, it really isn't necessary, just slows things down.

After I looked at pvx Build I found this:

But in the build you postet there is no healing prayers so is it nesserey to put anything in healing prayers?
Than I know my health will be higher than 55 and this will ruin the build?

He he... I started farming this area last night with my Ele. Don't have 55, so this was easier. Pretty fun, although I think the drops are getting worse - seems as though the bots have discovered the farm though...

Don't imagine the build is quite as fast as a 55 might be, but given my situation it's been fun. The build should work until they make the changes to armour stacking. Hit me up in-game if you're interested in it.
