I know we had a thread about this before but this runs a lil different and didnt want to bump old post.....so we mentioned a few days ago about the possibility of CoH movie, well for those who want to know more I found this out.
CoH on G4!
As you can see this Thursday on AotS you can see the interview. I doubt much will be released but at least this gives a more firm confirmation that this is a legit deal in the works. Unless I can get my frickin cable company to fix my channels that are +100 I may not get to watch...maybe Youtube....so people will have to bump this later with info.

I dunno. I hate to pre-judge, but it just seems like CoH would make a MUCH better Cartoon than a movie. :/ It could be a weekly thing on Sci-Fi or one of those with a HUGE event starting off with the Rikti Invasion.

I'm not sure I'd want to see too much of the Freedom Phalanx, though. A movie might be good, but as a regular series, I'd rather each episode featured new characters. The comic book never really showed how many great heroes Paragon City has.
For episode 1, I want to see the Legion of Catgirls save Statesman's butt from a massive Rikti attack.

Blasters kill everything, usually before they get killed themselves. When it comes to dealing pain, a blaster has no equal. We just have a hard time taking our own medicine! So we love Tanks and 'fenders!

I'll probably end up going to see it regardless, but I don't really have great expectations for this movie (don't get me wrong though, I'd love to see it turn out well).
Here's my hopeful prediction:
1st movie- Main plot would be the Rikti Invasion; final battle would be an epic large-scale battle of Heroes vs. Rikti; ends with the post-invasion influx of gangs/crime in general, word of a new organization called "Arachnos" on the rise, setting it up for the beloved sequals of today.

2nd movie- Main plot would be the rise of Arachnos; final battle would be a showdown between the Freedom Phalanx vs. Arachnos main villains (possibly the sidekick groups as well, but that would be a bit much); would end with Arachnos being beaten (obviously), and the opening of Portal Corp., once again setting up for the magical movie trilogy.

3rd movie- Main plot would be the Pretorian threat; final battle would be Freedom Phalanx vs. Pretorians (again, possibly with sidekicks but I doubt it); would end with the Pretorians being defeated with no 4th movie in sight.
This would be a good order because it would introduce non-players to the series the same way we players were. Next up would be Arachnos and possibly the Rogue Isles, introducing a more formal Hero vs. Villain vibe. After that, a fitting end of the trilogy would be possibly the biggest threat once they appear, the Pretorians.
In the event that the movie isn't a series and is just one movie, I'd like the see the Rikti Invasion get screen-time. Again, it's the best introduction of the series they could give non-players, it would have the most epic battles, and it would give the most leeway (sp?) to have other heroes fighting and showing off powers because of the huge scale of the battles, since the movies would hopefully focus around the Freedom Phalanx, being that they're really the SG of CoH.
In my mind, that's the best introduction to give to people who don't already know the series, as well as great fan-service since it's the only thing that none of us can take part in (obviously).
The thing I hope does NOT happen under any circumstances, is that they make the movie about Statesman's rise to fame, so to speak. In a movie about this kind of game, the worst thing they could possibly do is focus it on one guy.
