hey guys i just have a few questions about farming. ok i have a lvl 20 necro and a lvl 20 ele. is there anything good that i can farm? Also is there no loot scaling in hard mode cause ive looked at some recent farming guides in hard mode like the warrior/mesmer one that is posted right now and it seems like they are getting alot of loot so is there no loot scaling in hardmode? Also i have been doing this thing on factions scence the solo farming nerf were i can get about 4k in an hour and a half. it works but it is slow going when i want to get new armor. is this a decent amount or am i wasting my time?

you can 55 necro minister chos estate in hard mode in about 15mins, usally you will get 2-3 golds per run and about 2k from loot. Although this can vary as ive had 0 golds for some runs, but once I had 7!

hey thanks alot i will beat factions soon with my necro and i will definently give it a try. so im assuming that there is no loot scaling in hard mode?

I have a really good Factions farming place for an Ele.
Outside Mattu Keep, farming the Stone Scale Kirin for Saphire and Ruby drops. You can do this in either Normal or Hard Mode (I use NM since I havnt finished Factions).
HERE is the link to the skills and Attributes. I use a Energy Storage Headpiece and a run of Superior Earth Magic.
***Do Not Agro the Dragon Moss, you CAN tank the Undergrowth but they do not have the good drops the kirin do.
The run itself is very easy. Simply approach a group of Kirin, throw up your enchants,then once you have full agro use Ward Againt Melee. After that use Shockwave. They usually break agro at this point, if not then hit them with Whirlwind+Aftershock then Tenei's Crystals.

Well it depends, the ele build I gave you can bring in at least 1k per run which can take about 15-20 minutes i think. It really depends on your perspective, 4k in 90 minutes isnt great, UW farming would be more profitable but more risky and costly. At the same time, farming normal mode in, say Ascalon, youd be lucky to get 1k in an hour. So it really varies on where your farming. Overall, I would say 4k is decent, you could do better but do whatever works best for you.
p.s. HERE are some more useful farming builds you can try, however this upcoming update will nerf many warrior and other profession farming builds that rely on high armor, the build I posted should not be affected by the Armor Cap.

There IS loot scaling in hard mode, just in places where the party size is smaller, you get more loot. 1/4th of the loot instead of 1/6th, or 1/8th. Thats why farming in places like Istan, Ascalon, and Shing Jea are more profitable in hard mode.
