Tri-form

So in the past people have said Tri-forms are very hard to do because of lack of enhancment slots. First of all, 67 enhancement slots is wrong. 67 + Initial Power count, because everything comes with 1 slot. That can raise 67 to 91 or more. Second since you can basically get to 100% with 2 IO lvl 50 enhancements, it could be manageable to make a super epic archtype skilled very well with all three forms. To make it easier there are enhancements that are two different things. So I ask you, do you think it is possible to make the perfect epic, which has most of their powers well balanced due to enhancements. I wanna hear your opinion.

RE: Tri-form

Going tri-form is more difficult, and it is because of lack of slots. A non-epic AT fills in their power choices with travel powers and most times the fitness pool. Because epics have more options available, and don't need a travel power, and can even skip fitness because of the inherent recovery bonus from the forms, this makes slotting a royal pain. It is hard to get the most out of every power you choose. This is even more difficult with tri-formers, because they have even more powers to slot out for max performance.

However, with that said, since IOs came out, it is much easier to get good value (not the best, but good) out of powers, between set IOs and normal IOs. Tri-form is still difficult, but not quite as difficult as it previously was.

Personally, I think that epics are just cursed, in a sense. Alot of ppl say you only need one accuracy for any of your attacks. This is true... if you are fighting even con foes. If you want to up your difficulty at all, you start having more accuracy issues. Considering the (recently fixed) lack of content in the 30-40 range, it can be difficult to get levels fast. With the new Rikti zone missions, you have a near unending amount of content to tackle, meaning you can stay on lower difficulties without running out of stuff to do. Add to that the advent of Scanner missions, and you really can make it to 50 on Heroic and Tenacious, without any major issues. How long and tedious it may be, is another story all its own.

I prefer normal ATs because I *can* maximize them. I *can* start soloing on Rugged and Unyeilding once I get SOs. I *can* handle Invinceable in the 30s and above. My Human/Dwarf PB has a hard time at lvl 26 with fighting +1s. My scrapper at 26 was breezing through invinceable missions like nothing. He hit almost all the time, and did great damage, too. My PB is definitely slower to level, and I'm definitely feeling for the lack of available slots for certain powers.
