warrior gear help

this is my warrior setup right now

any suggestions would be nice, i'd like to base it around the sword. im pretty happy with glad's but if the suggestions look good to me i'll change. thanks for any input

I presume that you mean suggestions on aesthetics, and it really depends on how much you're looking to spend. Did you want to stay with 1.5k armor or upgrade to an elite version?

You say you are happy with your armor and your sword, so is it the shield you don't like? I'd browse on Wiki for a list of shield skins and see what catches your fancy- many green ones can be farmed yourself or are readily available for sale relatively cheap.

the adamantine shield has a nice slim streamlined design, i find it goes well with my warrior's glads armor. it has a nice dye effect and mine is currently dyed black for that reason.

at this point in time i can only afford 1.5k but i would like ALL input, 15k, 1.5k, anything, the only thing that MUST stay is the sword, the only other option that i like is the tatooed scimitar, thanks again. also the shield must be strength related.

Oh cool :D Working your armor scheme around a weapon is definitely an interesting endeavor. The only advice I can give is to thoroughly browse and take notes of possible combinations using wiki's armor pages as well as shield skins.

Good luck on your choices and please post your results, i'd be very much interested in seeing them :D

right now i'm going for kurzick armor, 1k variety(short of cash), and looking forward to probably 15k kurzick or elite ancient(too much work, havent done any nightfall yet). as for a shield i havent decided yet probably going with either gloom shield or bladed shield.

can i get a second opinion on which shield to go with plz?

Gloom Shields go well with certain armors along with guardian of the hunts because of the way they dye. If you dye a gloom shield black it's pure black like the guardian of the hunt. Mine is dyed black right now and if you wanna see it in game i can show you it( i might even dye it other colors if im nice that day). Also i would go with a tatooed scimitar since they look pretty cool and i have one for my monk(gave it to him after warrior had it)and i gotta say they look pretty nice. The sword you have right now looks cheap imo compared to the tatooed scimmy. 15k luxon with a primeval helm is a nice combo and im loving it right now, also 15k sunspear is good along with ancient. I got ancient dyed silver if you wanna see that too, im willing to dye it other colors if u wanna see besides black. if you were to get 1k armor i would get knight because its the best looking 1k armor in the game.

My female warrior is in 15k Glads, and out of all the shields she has (and some are rare/expensive) the look I like the best of with her armor is a Shield of the Lion I got off a weaponsmith, dyed to match her armor. I modded it like a Malinon's Shield, so I can't use it often, but the look is the one I like the best, to my imagination it kinda looks Gladiator-ish.

I'm a big fan of wearing what you LIKE, not just what's popular in game or considered 'uber'. If it's ugly, I don't care how uber it is, it's not going on my toon :-P Case in point: Gloom Shield, got one in DoA and I stuck it on a hero, it looks terrible on my warrior.

I'd post a pic or offer to show you in game, but my gaming rig is currently down for repair, and this old laptop can't handle GW well. Wiki should have pics though. I like the Diamond and Iridescent Aegis too.

the current 1.5k droks leggins are ok, the boots and chest and gloves need to go...

my older armor (still have) is in my avatar..

here is some current setups...

there isnt a lot of great skinned strength shields (imho) the gloom I like, the exaulted aegis is relatively inexpensive and looks good (imho)

plz stay away from the kurzick helms, buncha big beaked warriors already runnin around...

Maybe the 15k chest and gloves from tyria, then the 1.5k kurzick leggings and boots, and helm to suit... i like the prophecies plate helms, and sunspear helms, dont like the ancient, kurzick, or luxon, and dont particularily like the tyrian 'beanie' style either :)

tho i do agree with one of the above posts, i really dont care for desolation swords looks either :S

what it really boils down to is what YOU want so hopefully our posts help build your opinion about armor's. Get something that you would enjoy and don't really care about others, because if you start thinking well people think this is ugly ur gonna get every armor in the game to mix and match and that's just not worth it. I myself have 4 15k sets and a bunch of helms but it's just because i got bored of looking at my warrior in them so i decided i needed another set and new weapons. All in all take what you would think is fitting for your guy and use it.

This is what i have so far, i am trying to decide on a color to dye my armor(any suggestions?). i really like the shield only it looks almost purple from certain angles, hoping a black dye will help that out, also the shield needs modding so if anyone has a bladed shield with good mods(requirements 10 or less of either attribute) thanks again guys

I really don't like that sword. It looks really cheesy imo. The armor is fine if you can only get 1.5k. I do like the shield with your armor though, it looks pretty nice.

Grats on new armor!

I honestly can't say for sure on Kurz armor, as I've never bought it myself. Maybe silver to match your shield?

As far as a nice Bladed Shield, I suggest you try Guru auctions, I'm sure you'll find what you are looking for there. They even have a "Wanted" section where you can post what you are seeking.

I for one kinda like the sword skin, looks ornate. But then again, I'm not a fan of many of the popular skins like the Fellblade. *shrug* Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

i find that the adamantine shield goes with warriors "knights" templar armor

I agree, the sword looks flimsy and wide, maybe its made of rubber.

Best Sword and Shield for Kurz armor is a Gothic Sword (or Kaolin Blade) and Gothic Shield (or Exalted Aegis) but thats my opinion :)

Im probbly alone on this one ^_^ but a tower sheild or a aegis is what i like wiht glads armor ^_^
