lag, my worst enemy.

well, i lag ONLY in gw... in no other games or websites i lag, just there.

rubberbanding
maps take long to load
skills activate 2 minutes late

it's extremely annoying...i usually never lag at all, and i don't have a clue what is happening? can someone please tell me what i can do or do you lag aswell?

VERY annoying >.<

edit : my FPS and ping is normal... :S

it woulndt be with the computer at all? my firend had a similier problem he couldnt play at all tho, when he got a new computer it worked better.
i get lag now and again,guess some good days and bad days

Do you have wireless internet? Try to change the antennes direction...

I have wireless internet, and because my signal was 'good' instead of 'exceptional' i had bad lag on Guild Wars, and nowhere else... After lots of frustation and trying to change the signal it was finally over. Then my mother cleaned my room (read: sweeping dust away :P) and she touched the antennes and signal was bad again >.>

Anyway, I hope that is the problem, and if you don't have wireless internet, I don't know what's wrong xD

Now that i think about it i have never lagged on this computer ive only error7ed (only because my brother turned the router of by mistake -.-") :P

Ugh..... The high population last night cost me my Survivor title.

I made up all the way up to level 8 and was disconnected 3 times in a row last night, and then when I got back, I found myself at the healing shrine. So I was going "Aw F***!"

But... I'll just take it and stride. So you have my sympathies. ^^;

yeah lag...i also got it now and then :(
sometimes i dont got any lag and an hour later i quit playing because of the lag :(
but yeah, i learned to live with it ^^

I think that the easiest way to deal with it is to simply relax, have something cold to drink (like a soda or beer) and just work with it.

After all it is just a game.

But one thing that I'm grateful for is for the Hencemen and Heroes. I can get some of the benefits of being in a party without having to worry that I'll leave them holding the bag (as it were) if I disconnect and cannot get back on line right away. So its cool.

Hmmm you have a point. No reference to it at all. I'll pass that on. It is however generally taken that we operate on a 12+ level the same as the game so profanity isn't acceptable here.

There was a discussion a little while ago about swearing ...clicky... which makes an interesting read.

Okay... but I really was very angry over the lag issue. I don't think that any other word would or could be more better used.

Don't worry, I'll trim it to PG-13. Tho, my language makes Sailors blush, and my first words was F - you.... yeah, my mom wasn't thrilled... I'll get into the details later on that story.

But seriously I was really, really working very hard to get a surivor title and I made it all the way to level 8 on one day and *poof*! I'm sure that anyone else can understand my fustration.

So Lag is a cruel and harsh mistress.

(I even wrote a blog entry on this site. I'm such a LJwho--... um... obsessed with blogging, that I am thinking about using this site for a in-game GW blog... ^^;

i kept laggin out in AB today, kinda sucked. Since im monk im a big part of my AB group with my guildies and i kept gettin error 7 and then error 21 or somethin like that with a networkin error and it was really gay. Had over 50k ping for some reason then it would drop to 127 like nothing happened...

i too hate lag, but seriously the first survivor title is pretty easy to get
i have it on 3 of my 6 pve characters including a ranger, monk, and ritualist
but lag is the true killer of the title on my other 3 characters
so in all, i hate lag
