I'm close to getting the pet on my pants/thorn dom and I was wondering how other successful plant/ doms have slotted theirs.

I have experimented with various slotting on mine, but I just decided to leave it at 3 dam, 2 acc, 1 rech(more damage output). You could also go 3 dam, 1 acc, 2 rech(Faster recharge time), or 2 dam, 2 acc, 2 rech(equal).
It really depends on whether you care enough about the recharge time. Personally, I find that the Fly Trap stays alive long enough to allow the power to recharge again while it's still out anyway, so I wasn't too concerned on the rech reductions.
I stuck with the usual and common damage and accuracy. Of course, there are other areas you could improve it on, such as range, defense debuff and it's immob rates with it's entangle attack, but it wouldn't benefit as much in my opinion.

Oh..I just realized you typed 'pants/thorn', lmao. Pants would be an interesting control set.

Oh yes, pants would be a great control set. You could pants your foe and they keep tripping and falling on their face. You could do a higher level pants and they stand there there completely helpless while they struggle to pull them back up. And for your level 32 power, you could pants a single foe and every foe near them becomes helpless as they roll on the ground laughing.
