I've got no problems with my stalker, lvl 37 claws/regen. I only do pve, no pvp for me.

So what do you want to say anyway? A question - like in your topic title - or a message - in the post itself - ?
Anyway: Yes, Stalkers are good for PvE as well. If you play them right, which usually means hit and run at low levels, and once you're a bit higher up you can hit, scrap a bit and then run if you have to. I've virtually played only PvE with my level 50 Ninja Blade/Regeneration Stalker and he was (and still is) very good for that purpose.

It looks like you have been talking to the wrong people. Stalkers are great for PvE. I think my claws/regen stalker has been my fastest leveling character of all I have created. And she has no intentions to be in any PvP area.

Hmmm, if Stalkers can't do PvE, then why would there be so many level 50's? Which I happen to own 2 of those said level 50's; Claw/Ninjitsu and Spine/Regen.
Hogwash! Whoever made that statement obviously has issues in playing this game. I'm living proof that it is very easy to play a Stalker.
They are good in both PvE and PvP, hands down.

While it's true that Stalkers don't have many AoE attacks, I wouldn't necessarily say it hurts the character. That would be akin to saying a Corruptor lacks Melee fighting skills. It might not be a part of the way that character is meant to be played. I learned that from a fellow player on CoH, when I was constantly trying to tank with a Blaster (yes, we were all newbs once!)
For PvE, a Stalker should make every attempt to engage enemies one-on-one, the "surgical strike" that makes being the invisible guy so much fun. In team play, he/she should either deal with stragglers, or sneak around the enemy group while they're distracted by team aggro.
Once a Stalker obtains his Tier 9 Defense (especially /Regen or /Ninjitsu), he can be quite good at tanking bosses. When Nox tanks on a boss, a lot of team members ask, "Dude, what are you doing?" at first, but then are often surprised to see that he can hang right in there.
So we don't have many AoE attacks (the ones we do have are cone-shaped, short-range AoEs--usually don't hit multiple targets, because they're not close enough). Bah. With a well-built stalker and a strong grasp of how to play the character, stalkers are incredible.

LMAO!!!! Sounds like you were like us all, trying to make the perfect Blapper!! It is possible though, Eng/Eng Blasters are very good at dealing some melee damage :)
But again, on this topic...
Stalkers are good at both PvP and PvE!
I'm tempted to say regardless of build, but this would go more so towards PvE...PvP is a different animal altogether. But for this post, I can make any type of Stalker and level them up to 50.
